Jaemin didn't say anything, the two just looked at each other, Nari's heart tore itself in two when he didn't make any movement towards her to wipe her tears away like he usually would do.

Swallowing the rising lump in her throat, she stepped towards him, sight blurred by the tears and breath shaky as she stood in front of him.
He gulped as she did, the familiar scent of vanilla breezed past his nose.
She looked up at him, tears lining her eyes, confused and hurt.

There were no words to be said in that moment because the tears spoke for themselves, yet she pushed through.
"Why did you lie?" She whispered, her voice laced with hurt and Jaemin's eyes didn't leave her face.
He swallowed the dryness in his throat and averted his eyes away, looking up at the ceiling as he knew this day was coming.

Nari's eyes scanned his face and she scoffed in disappointment at the lack of response.
She felt stupid.
"You're a death eater." She stated, sniffling as she looked at his arm.
He didn't reply this time either and the tears flowed freely out of her eyes.

"I thought y-you...you said you loved me. You told me you loved me Jaemin." She cried clenching her fists. Jaemin looked back at her and nodded slowly.
"I had to." He murmured and Nari looked up at him, knowing what he meant.

"But I love you." Her voice cracked into a whisper and she could swear she could feel her heart being torn out and stepped on as Jaemin didn't even reply. She looked at him through her pain ridden tears.

Nari broke the eye contact and looked down, taking a deep breath as she received her answer.

Everything was a lie.

"Oh my God." Jeno breathed out in shock as the students gathered around the scene, Jisung gripping onto Nari's sleeve in horror. Chenle stood with Renjun besides the rest.
Mark?
He had ran after Snape, furious and distraught.

Students weeped and some were frozen in shock, their professor had died.
Nari's eyes scanned the crowd, hoping she'd see him, but part of her knew she wouldn't see him for a long time.
Her heart clenched from pain and the love she has for him lingered.

Areum had joined them, linking her arm with Nari's as she zoned out from the surroundings. Areum looked concerned at her friend and even more worried for Mark. Yet her prayers were answered as the chosen one pushed through the sea of students.
The students were far away from Dumbledore and Mark didn't hesitate to stumble closer towards the lifeless man.

Mark ran a hand down Dumbledore's face, tears escaping his eyes as he did so. His fingers trembled as he picked up the locket of Dumbledore's and placed a hesitant hand on his chest that no longer moved. There was no warmth and Nari choked out a sob, untangling herself from her friends and blindly walking towards Mark.

She fell to her knees beside him and they both looked down at the man who layed dead. Her bottom lip trembled and she began to sob in her hands, the painful cries making everyone tear up as they mourned the death of a loved one.

One by one the group rejoined. Areum cradled Mark in her arms, letting him know she was here for him and a timid Jisung stood, clinging onto Chenle whilst they stood behind Nari, Jeno wiping his cheeks next to them.
He was hesitant, but hearing her cry made his eyes glaze over with tears- Renjun kneeled beside Nari and guided her head to his chest, letting her cry her heart out.

Jeno sniffled and sat on the ground behind her, head down as tears dripped off his nose, he rubbed her back comfortingly as best as he could.

That day, they had lost their guidance, and now they were alone in this battle.
