Alone together

I walked out of school with Violet, Cassie and Safire. They wanted to see Miles and show him that I had made some friends. I wondered if any of them fancied Miles but I was guessing not because of the little date joke they made earlier. I saw Miles as we walked out of the gates. He was leaning against a brick wall smoking. I wasn't sure if I liked Miles in that way but I did know that he looked unbelievably hot. He was wearing all black as he had been before, but this time he was wearing very tight ripped black jeans, a plain black t-shirt with rolled up sleeves and black fingerless gloves which reminded me of the ones his dad used to wear. He smirked when he was me and started walking over to us.
"alright" he casually said to us all
"hey" I replied as well as Cassie and Safire
"look who I made friends with today" I said whilst looking at the 3 girls.
"yeah I can see that. How have you guys been? I haven't seen you lot in a while since I got caught with the drugs at school. My dad hasn't let me go out much".
"yeah we are all good. been missing hanging out with you though. We were saying to Effie earlier that she should come and hang at the mall with us sometime." Safire filled Miles in.
"ahh yeah that would be cool. anyway we better head off. lots too see, you know" Miles seemed in a rush
"oh okay yeah cool we will see you soon then Miles. See you tomorrow Effie" Violet quickly said before all 3 girls walked off.
"so how was your first day then?" Miles said whilst looking at me.
"meh it was okay. You know school is never that good haha. at least I made so friends though, and how weird that they were the people you were telling me about"
"yeah I know, I was kind of shocked when I saw you walking with them. It's good though because it means we can still hang out together inside of school as welll."
Miles' eyes were still focused on me. I guess my question from earlier was answered, he does still want to hang around with me in school. I was relieved. The way he said it gave me butterflies. I think maybe I am developing feelings for him. Maybe the feelings were there the first time I met him but I only just realised. This is too much to deal with, I only just moved here. did I want a boyfriend already? and even if I did, would Miles even want me? This was too much to think about at the moment. I decided to think about it later and just enjoy these few hours with Miles.
"yeah that will be cool."
My reply sounded so fake, I wasn't trying for it to sound like that but I was so caught up in looking at the colour of Miles eyes I couldn't concentrate properly. They were a beautiful shade of hazel with a deep brown outline. He noticed I was starring at him and I quickly looked away with embarrassment. I tried to keep my eyes off him as I felt extremely awkward but my eyes soon darted towards him. He was looking at me too now. Only, he didn't stop when I looked at him. It felt like his eyes were piercing through me but I liked it. We didn't break the stare until eventually a car drove past us and beeped the horn very loud. It had felt like I had awoken from a trance. We both nervously brushed the moment off and started walking up a long road lined with houses.
"where are we going?" I questioned him
"it's a surprise" he casually laughed
"I thought you were going to show me around the town." I pleaded
"yeah well that's boring. If you are that desperate to see the town then I will show you another time but this is something you have to see."
He seemed so determined so I decided to just go with it.
"well okay of you insist". I sarcastically replied.
He lead me down an abandoned alley that was overgrown with thorns and trees until we reached a concrete wall.
"is this what you wanted to show me?" I looked at him sarcastically
"no you idiot. you need to climb over the wall"
"ohh, okay sure but you are gonna have to like push me up or something haha"
"ugh girls" he laughed
"oh I see, so you don't want me to come then?"
"no no, I'm sorry okay I will help you up"
I smirked at him and he smiled back. He then signalled for me to turn around so he could help me up. I reached up and grabbed the top of the wall while he pushed me up. He touched my bum to give me a final push but quickly let go so I think it was an accident. I didn't mind too much though.
"do you need any help getting up?" I looked down at him
"nah I'm alright. I think I can manage"
He held onto the wall and pulled himself up almost immediately.
"well Mr Iero, I'm impressed"
"why thank you Miss Quinn" we laughed at each other.
After we got over the wall we were standing in the middle of a woods. It was fairly dark as the trees blocked out the sun but it looked magical. As it was autumn, all the trees were different colours. I stood and admired the view until I heard Miles cough slightly to get my attention. I looked at him and he nodded his head in the direction we were supposed to be going.
It felt like we had been walking for ages when Miles suddenly stopped. I was a little scared but also excited. I turned to Miles.
"why have you stopped?"
"we are nearly there"
"is this some weird joke thing where you are actually just louring me into the woods so you can tie me up and sacrifice me or something because I'm not really down with that"
He gave me a doubted look.
"shut the fuck up and follow me"
"okay rude" I replied
We walked through a few clustered trees where the path had completely disappeared until we came to a small clearing. In the middle was an old abandoned carousel. It didn't look like it worked anymore and the paint was faded and chipped but it was still amazing.
"h-how did you find this?" I said sounding shocked.
"To be honest, I'm not really sure. I remember I was walking through the woods one day and I was high and I saw this and I though I was just so out of it that I imaged it. But I stayed sitting on it for a few hours and I realised it was actually here. It's pretty cool right? I haven't been here in ages. Not since I got caught with the drugs."
"This is fucking awesome" I ecstatically responded.
"calm down it's not that good"
"shut up yes it is, oh my fucking god"
"okay it is pretty awesome"
"have you ever taken anyone here before?" I looked directly as him
"err no"
"why did you bring me? I mean this place must be special to you if you haven't shown anyone else before"
"Look I think I need to tell you something. There is something about you Effie Quinn. I don't know what it is but when I'm with you I just want to take you away from everything and everyone and talk for hours, or go on adventures or do anything just you and me."
I didn't respond. I just kept my eyes on him, never breaking the stare. I took a step closer to him, and then another and another until I was inches from his body. He looked embarrassed at what he had told me so I looked up at him and said 2 words.
"Me too"
Before kissing him hard. I put my hands behind his head and he grabbed my waist. I didn't want to let him go ever.
It felt like hours before we broke the kiss because we were so out of breath. He smirked at me and put one hand on my chin and traced the outline of my lips with his thumb. He then pulled me in for a hug and I buried my face into his chest. He was so warm and smelled so good. His chin was resting on the top of my head and his arms were wrapped so tightly around my body I felt safe.
After a few minutes I lifted my head and looked over to the carousel.
"is it safe?"
"yeah, I mean it doesn't run but you can sit on one of the horses if you want."
"oh yeah I wanna do that"
We walked over to one of the horses and Miles held my hand for support as I climbed up onto it. He then climbed into the horse next to me and we just started talking. We talked for hours about everything we could think of. He told me about how he go into drugs and changed a lot after he started feeling depressed. He lost a lot of his old friends and changed who he was as a person. I didn't judge him or even speak until he stopped talking. I just listened to everyone word as they escaped his lips.
