"MILES" I shout across the paved area at school as I saw Miles walking away fast.
"PLEASE MILES" he continues ignoring me so I start to run towards him. I hate running and so does Miles but I can run pretty fast if I have to. Like that time at the mall a few years ago I got caught stealing an eyeliner from boots and I managed to run away fast enough they couldn't catch me.
I soon caught up with Miles and despite his anger, I was able to calm him down slightly.
"Thank you" I said calmly
"you're thanking me for that?" he replied sounding confused.
"yeah of course. who knows what that asshole would have done if you didn't show up. okay so maybe you didn't need to go that far but I'm still grateful you came when you did"
"yeah well now I've fucked up and I'm gonna get kicked out. I don't know what happens, the anger just takes over me and I can't stop it. By the time I realise what I'm doing its too late"
"it's okay" I stop and he stops too. I turn to him and pull him into a hug. I can feel his wet tears falling into my shoulder and soaking into the fabric.
"no it's not" he croaks through his cries.
"I heard what he said you know. He's right, I am a mental freak. Why are you with someone like me? Aren't you scared of me?"
"how could I be scared of you? You did that for me. I know how much you care about me Miles. Maybe to some people you are scary but to me you are the most perfect human to exist. You're not a fucking mental freak okay, you got angry at a mega twat who was about to do god knows what to me."
I could feel him laughing into my shoulder.
"hey what's so funny?"
"nothing you're just so-so, I don't even know, I can't explain"
"I hope the end of that sentence was going to be good" I jokingly say
"course. you're just- amazing."
"Well, that is true."
"so modest" he laughs
"I don't want to flaunt my amazingness now do I"
"Come on let's go home and try and forget about this shitty day yeah"
"okay but I want to go and get food first"
"fine but you're paying. you owe me"
"it was your duty as a boyfriend to do what you did but because I am the amazing girlfriend you described me as then yes I shall buy you food"
"Tah baby cakes"
"don't fucking call me that you twat"
"sure thing baby cakes"
"fuck off you loser"
