RESIDENTIAL College Bay 10 multipurpose hall was occupied by hundreds freshmen coming from different walks of life and faculties. St John's accommodation had 10 different residential colleges consisting Bay 1 to Bay 10, homing thousands students in the entire St John's campus. The Bay Orientation itself was a compulsory freshmen activity designed by the university management to give the freshmen a head up of how the campus life in St John's looked like. Conducted by mostly sophomores, the system called them the Collegiate Student Executive Representatives, headed by an Executive Chief who responsible for the whole year round student programs in every bays. In Bay 10, its students were bounded with its merit and demerit system, hence none of them dared to ever skip the orientation, one slight mistake and they would find themselves no place in Bay 10.
Julian Stephenson was among those sitting on the floor of Bay 10 Multipurpose Hall. His idea of taking a rest throughout the afternoon was shattered when an announcement was made through the speaker ordering the freshmen to assemble at the hall with their full first year attires, white long sleeves, slack trousers, with red neckties and compulsory student IDs with its plain lanyards. On the stage of Bay 10 hall, stood 10 to 15 seniors with their complete corporate attires, while at the back Red Crescent aid team were seen standing casually.
"Yo roommate, which faculty are you in?" Nicholas De Cruz asked bringing his mind back to the hall. Nicholas, by now was the only stranger he knew in the entire Bay 10 aside of RA Code 005. The tall, white and brown-hair roommate he was assigned with was glaring at him.
"Science and Technology" He answered, short and simple.
"Computer Sciences"
"And why would we have to undergo this kind of an induction? Aren't we all grown up?" Nicholas murmured.
Julian shrugged to acknowledge the statement though deep down he genuinely understood how an education institution practiced its system. The years at GreenHill Senior High was totally a no waste of time, he was being familiarised with such regulatory systems so hence he didn't complain of having to undergo such induction. The only thing he certain in the present was having to bear the next 12 months with RA Code 005 who happened to be much nicer than he thought, but again, Julian was not a fool, he knew how Jacob Carlson played, he knew his game real good and he had the sense that Jacob Carlson would give him a hell of 12 months.
"Attention!" A loud voice echoed the hall, startling every souls inside, making them to immediately immersed themselves in quietness.
A man with his complete corporate attire was seen standing before the hall, with his eyes sharply assessing every corners, waiting the whole hall to be completely voiceless. The freshmen positioned themselves, with their eyes directed to the man who spoken, they zipped their mouths shut instantaneously.
Out of surprises, there was a curve of tiny smile on his face. This was the man, the boss of the Collegiate Executive Representatives, the one every freshmen were afraid of, the one who had the capacity to kick any freshmen out of the residential college. He stood there on the stage, the boss of Bay 10 Students, waiting the hall to cool off.
"When I say attention, you reply yes sir! Understood!?" The man shouted once again.
" Now, let's start over!"
"Attention!"
" Yes sir!" A loud voice reechoed the entire hall reciprocating the word that was spoken by the Representative himself.
"Attention!"
" Yes sir!" Louder voice this time, as if the afternoon had turned into a sheer cheering gathering. And when the loud voices disappeared, the man took over the venue, all eyes focused to him alone, none dared to look away, none dared to make any moves.
