Attention residents of Seoul, we interrupt your regularly scheduled programming to bring you a breaking news story. We have received word that convicted murderer Kim Taehyung has escaped from Seoul Detention Center early this morning and has reportedly been seen in the area. We advise everyone to be safe and keep a look out for any suspicious activity.

~ 7:00 am ~

It was a foggy morning still misty from the rain, and you were walking out of your house half awake and exhausted. You barely had enough energy to get through the school say, much less come home and do more work. As you lazily walked out the house and crossed the lawn to start your walk to school, you couldn't shake the odd feeling that you were being watched.

Weird

You eventually wrote it off as an effect of the all nighter you'd pulled, and continued on your way. Halfway down the street you were still walking on grass when you caught your foot on something and almost fell flat on your face. Luckily you saved yourself, but you were now looking around to see what could have possibly tripped you. You walked this way to and from school every day and had never once had this issue.

It was then that you noticed the part of the ground you were now standing on was slightly higher than the rest of the grass around it, almost as if something has been placed underneath.

I guess that must be what I tripped on

You thought while returning your focus to getting to school on time. Not once did it ever occur to you that the patch of grass you had been standing on was freshly dug up and reburied.

~~~
It was around 5:30 in the evening and you were heading home from school.  After a hard day of practice all you wanted was to shower, eat, and go to sleep. You yawned and stretched, adjusting the backpack straps on your shoulders as you walked through the same grassy shortcut you took to and from school every day. This time you decided to stop and look for what you tripped on earlier. That same chilly feeling swept over you as you stood there retracing your steps. Then you heard it, a crunch under your foot. You looked down to see something sticking up from the grass. Kneeling down to get a closer look, saw what it was and screamed. A finger. A human finger. Most likely attached to a hand which was attached to a body. Things were starting to fit together in your head. This morning you tripped over a freshly buried dead body, which means you weren't hallucinating being watched because the killer was still nearby.
You gasped sprinting down the street while getting your key ready to run inside. You weren't sure if you were imagining it or not, but it sounded like there was a second pair of footsteps following you. You didn't dare turn around to look as you made it to your house, rushing to unlock the front door and slam it behind you. You made sure both locks were on and sighed resting your head against the door while letting your backpack slip off.
"Hi"
A deep ass voice said nonchalantly, causing you to jump and whip around, back pressed against the door. There was an attractive guy walking out of your kitchen while drinking wine from one of your moms glasses.
"WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU!"
"Y/n L/n we do not use that language in this house!"
Your mom walked out of the living room, draping her arm around the handsome stranger.
"This"
She places a kiss on his lips.
"Is my boyfriend"
You almost choked on your spit. So your mom can have a boyfriend but you can't...ok. He chuckles in his deep voice and returns her hug.
"I'm V"
"V? As in the letter of the alphabet?"
"That's me"
You nod and introduce yourself, but it was weird seeing another man cozy up to your mom the way your dad used to. He wasn't dead, but they got a divorce when you were younger. He moved to Japan so you didn't see him often, but your relationship was still strong.
~~~

"So...V"

"Oh here we go"

Your mother interrupts you, knowing you were about to start interrogating him at the dinner table.

"Where are you from?"

"Daegu"

"What do you do?"

"I'm a CEO"

"What kind of CEO?"

"A good one"

"Hilarious"

You say with a straight face.

"How did you meet?"

"Online at first, in person at a bar"

"Are you an alcoholic?"

"I drink occasionally"

"Do you do drugs?"

"Do I look like I do drugs?"

"That's not a valid answer"

He rolls his eyes at you knowing you would see it, but your mom didn't.

"No, I don't"

"Hmm...I don't buy it, what's your favorite color?"

"Green"

"Are you good with money?"

"In my opinion, yes"

"Really? Because the Gucci sweater you have on might beg to differ"

He chuckles as if he thought you were amusing, but you could tell he didn't mean it.

"So how long have you two been seeing each other?"

"About three months"

"And you're in our house already, interesting"

You say, taking a mental note of how this entire relationship progressed behind your back.

"What's your real name?"

"I think you've asked enough questions for one day, don't think?"

"Just one more, what are your intentions with my mother?"

Your mom turned to look at him and he gave her a smile before turning in your direction with a look you couldn't quite process.

"I intend to marry her"

~~~
You suspected he wasn't who he was from the moment you met. Why wouldn't he introduce himself by name? You'd been keeping tabs on him and recording the evidence in your closet, sure that one day you would find something against him. To your mom he was an attractive younger man who liked her for her, but to you he was trying to replace your dad, and you didn't appreciate it.
His backstory didn't add up either. Why couldn't you figure out what company he was the CEO of? Why didn't you know about him before? How did he make all that money?
All questions you were trying to answer, but to figure it out, you would need to conduct a deeper investigation.
I'm probably gonna continue this one
