Mei's POV

Li and I ran along the edges of the shadows to avoid being seen by any air ships or anyone that might be wandering around nearby. We eventually got to the center of the hedge maze where my parents, grandparents, and our royal advisor, Wang, were waiting. I gently placed Tikki in my pocket of my silk nightgown, Li following suit and placing Allure in his pocket as well.

When we stepped out of the shadows into the moonlight my mother gasped and ran over to us.
"Oh! Mei! Li! We were so worried! What took you two so long?" She asked as she pulled me into a tight hug.

I laughed awkwardly,
"Well, we got...caught up with somebody." I told them, hiding my hand behind my back as my mother hugged Li as well. My father, however, noticed. He also has telekinetic powers, though not as powerful as mine. I got the rest of my powers from my mother, things to do with the mind and abstract ideas, but some of my powers were just randomly created from their genes.

My father flicked his hand, bringing mine out to view,
"What's this?" He demanded, his eyes lighting up blue and surrounding my arm in the blue aura. His miraculous is the gorilla.

I scratched the back of my head sheepishly,
"What is that?" My mother exclaimed, examining it.
"Um, it's from the wristband from the people that caught us up earlier that disabled my powers." I mumbled.
"Speak up, Mei." My father ordered.
"It's from the-," Wang cleared his throat.
Thank the gods.

"Pardon my intrusion, but Tom, Mei, I will need your help retrieving the helicopter. It seems our pilot is absent at the moment." Wang was basically a part of the family, and practically my father's brother.

"Of course!" I run over to his side quickly, "What do you need us to do?"
"Locate the helicopter and cast an illusion where it sits, so when we take it away, no one will be able to tell it's gone. Cast a mist around the real helicopter as well to hide it, and you and your father will bring it over here. I'll fly it, to our new home for a while."

"Ok!" I turned to scan the palace in search of our helicopter, "Wait...new home?"
"I'll explain more when we're up in the sky." I frowned but turned around again to look for the helicopter. I felt my eyes light up as I scanned the huge palace.

My vision faded to a deep blue as I focused my mind on the helicopter, the walls falling away. I could see the painstaking war happening in the palace and it broke my heart. Those people were all fighting for our safety and I wasn't doing anything. I shook my head and refocused on looking for the helicopter. To my surprise, two figures, men, were white, signaling they were who/what I was looking for. But I hadn't been looking for any people.

I furrowed my eyebrows but decided to check on who they were. I was getting pretty good at this whole x-ray vision, and it was strange for it to be telling me I was looking for something I wasn't.

Once I managed to get a closer look, I realized who they were, and why my subconscious had decided to look for them, one of them at least - it was the General, and Dion in a battle with one another. Just the sight of Dion made my stomach churn, and a quiet growl escaped my lips. One of them went flying backwards, Dion, seems like my magic had a mind of it's own today. Perhaps the General would know it was me, if he saw the burst of red.

I grinned to myself and turned over to the other figure in white, the helicopter's strange shape glowed and I could see a lot of dark blue figures fighting around it, a lot of them trying to take to the air.

I took a deep breath and sent some of my red magic over to it, the energy flowing stealthily over and covering the machine in a red veil, which was invisible once it settled. Using my new power, the mist, I called it, I created an illusion of the helicopter right in the place the real thing was.
