Marinette's POV
I walked with Felix out of school towards the bakery, listening to how much Chloe ticked him off. I nodded absentmindedly as I watched Adrien help an old man up from the ground.
When he started walking away, however, I saw the light reflect off a bracelet on his wrist. My eyes widened, I'd spent hours upon hours studying all the known miraculous and everything known about them, and I was completely sure of it - that man was a miraculous holder, the miraculous of the turtle, to be precise.
I elbowed Li and jerked my head towards the man. Allure and Tikki poked their heads out of my purse, Allure was with me since Felix didn't have anywhere for her to hide. They shared a glance and I could feel them vibrating, a sign they were communicating.
"His bracelet." I said, and his eyes widened.
"That's-,"
"I know." We watched as he rounded a corner and disappeared.Once we arrived at the bakery we quickly ran up to my room, telling my parents we had loads of homework to do. In reality, it'd probably take like 10 minutes to complete. I sat on my chaise and our kwamis flew out.
"That was him! The guardian of Paris!" Allure squealed and Tikki nodded excitedly.
"I've only met him once! Can we go see him? Please?" They looked at my pleadingly. I glanced at Felix, who shrugged.Rules were that they were supposed to be with us at all times since we never knew what could happen. But now, seeing as we're in Paris, far away from the chaos occurring at our palace in China, it should be alright.
"Ok, you can go. But make it quick." The two thanked us and flew away, phasing straight through my window.
"What miraculous did he have?" Li asked me once they were gone.
"The miraculous of the turtle, miraculous of protection." I told him, scratching my head. "I heard of him during my studies, and he's 186. Oh, and a half. I wonder what he was doing...?""Probably just out walking around? Enjoying the fresh air? Which reminds me! We need to go out and explore Paris! Take some pictures at the Eiffel Tower!"
"Oh, you're right! We can finally go see it!"Adrien's POV
I shut my door behind me and set my bag down on my desk. I sighed and took my folder out with all my homework. I paused, looking at the worksheets staring back at me. I had a photo shoot later, which meant I would be home late. But, that also meant I wouldn't get to relax.
I bit the inside on my cheek and sat down heavily at my desk. Alright, literature and math, then I'll take a break.
"Finally!" I cheered, pushing myself away from my desk and standing up. I stretched my arms over my head and walked over to my couch. Too lazy to walk around, I launched myself over it and landed on the cushion.
I grabbed my remote next to me and clicked my tv on, freezing at the sight of a strange box on my coffee table. It was hexagonal and black with a red design on it. I looked at it skeptically and carefully picked it up. I was certain I hadn't left this there. There was a better chance I'd grow wings than this being a present from my father.
Slowly, I opened it, but immediately dropped it and shielded my eyes from a blinding flash of light.
"Oh, finally out of there! What took you so long? I'm starving! Got any cheese?" I opened my eyes to see a floating...thing. It resembled a cat, with whiskers and pointed ears, but also...well, it was speaking, not on all fours, and did I mention it was floating?
