Marinette's POV

I sighed in relief as Wang landed the helicopter with ease, in the middle of nowhere. My father and I sent the helicopter away to a set of coordinates Wang gave us. Once it was out of view I kept the mist on us as we hopped into a U-Haul truck parked nearby.

Wang began driving us to where we'd be living, to avoid any possible suspicion of us appearing out of nowhere. I glanced at my father, who's eyes were glowing blue, and he smiled at me, placing his hand on my shoulder to comfort me. The exhaustion was probably very evident on my face.

It was a quick drive, luckily, and we all got out of the truck after my Uncle Louis parked it outside the bakery we'd we staying in. He and my grandparents went off into the streets of Paris, claiming they would have a car, and that Louis would come back soon. It was 3:00 am, but people were still shuffling around.

We walked over and went inside, my mother fumbling with the keys she was given. Inside, there were a few small tables and chairs, along with high top seating near the windows lining the walls. The counter was in the far right corner with a glass window to see the pastries, a door behind leading to the kitchen. On the front it had said - The Dubois Bakery - in cursive, gold letters.

My father and I disabled our magic as we felt the helicopter reach its destination. As I did, the quim's energy rush was instantly gone, and I immediately started to fall forward. In a second, however, Li was there to catch me.

"Ugh." I groaned, trying to stand but still leaning all my weight on him. I was on the brink of passing out, and I tried desperately to keep my eyes open, my pounding headache not helping.

Louis has told us our living space was upstairs, so Felix hauled me up, my parents staying behind to acquaint themselves with the bakery - since they would be opening later this afternoon.

My room was at the very top, with a balcony that had a lovely view. Felix's was right down the hall, my parents' across from it. Once we got up the ladder into my room, Felix brought me over to the steps leading up to my bed. It was much smaller than I was used to, but it felt very cozy.

"Here, do you think you can climb?" I nodded at him groggily, my eyelids already halfway shut. I gripped the hand railing and pulled myself up. When I made it up, I flopped onto the soft mattress, and immediately fell unconscious.

(To be clear, Marinette arrived on Saturday. So when Adrien was out with Alya and Nino last chapter, Marinette was already in the bakery.)

Adrien's POV

"Adrien." Nathalie's soft voice pierced through my slumber, her hand shaking me awake. "It's time to get up." I groaned and to need over to face her, cracking my eyes open. She smiled at me, "Here's your schedule, you've only got two photo shoots, at least." She sympathized, handing me a tablet, the golden ring on her finger glinting in the bright light coming through my big windows.

I sat up slowly and looked at it,
"Thanks." Nathalie grinned at me and ruffled my hair,
"Your dad and I will be waiting at the table."
"Ok."

She walked out of my room and closed the door, the clicks of her heels receding down the hallway. I smiled slightly, hearing her footsteps speed up as she got downstairs, and into the dining room where my dad would be waiting.

I glanced down at the tablet and frowned,

Breakfast - 7:30-8:00
Photo shoot #1 - 9:00-9:30
Photo shoot #2 - 9:30-10:00
Gym - 10:00-11:00
Lunch with Chloe - 12:00-1:00
Shopping with Chloe - 1:00-3:00
Arcade with Nino - 3:30-4:00
Time with Nino and Alya - 4:00-5:00
Dinner with Alya and Nino - 5:00-6:00
Fencing Practice - 6:30-8:30
Come back home - 9:00

Thank god Alya and Nino managed to take up lots of my schedule.
I stood up and got ready, brushing my teeth, hair, and changing. I walked down the stairs to have breakfast.

"Morning, dad." I said, going to sit down across from him and Nathalie.
"Good morning, Adrien." He replied, smiling as he ate his breakfast. It was always nice to see him smile, and just be happy with Nathalie.

"Hey, Dude!" Nino yelled from across the park. I set all of Chloe's heavy bags into her car and waved at him.
"Ugh, I wish we could hang out longer, but he's taking up the rest of your afternoon." She complained. I chuckled and gave her a kiss on the forehead.
"I'll see you tomorrow."
"Alright. Bye." She tapped my chest as she sat down, and I closed the door for her as she drove off.

I turned around to look at Nino, who had his arms crossed and was tapping his foot uncomfortably.
"Hey, Nino." I walked over to him and grinned.
"Finally, you're done. Now," Nino rolled his eyes and produced a bag of tokens from is pocket, his annoyed expression melting away and changing into an excited one.
"The arcade!" We exclaimed at the same time. We high fived and ran off to the arcade.

We burst through the doors and went straight to our favorite game, The Miraculous Escape. It was a shooting game with a bunch of different superheroes to play as. The goal was to save hostages and defeat villains, while trying to escape and save Paris. It was loosely based on The Protectors, with a few of them as characters you could play, but the rest are made up.

Nino slid a token in and the game blinked to life. I chose my regular character, Chat Noir, and Nino chose his, Carapace. We chose one of the new maps, Anansi. The villain was a girl who turned into a spider, and trapped people in her web.

We probably would've stayed all night if Alya hadn't come and brought us back to reality.
"Hey, boys." She said, giving Nino a kiss on the cheek.
"Hey, Als. Is it time already?" Nino asked her, mashing the buttons on the game. "Ah! No no no! Come on!" He hit his hand on the console and hissed in pain, that would be his 4th time losing.

"Ha, maybe that's a good thing. Hi, Alya." The brunette nodded at me,
"Adrien. And it is not time actually. It's already 4:45, I was running kinda late." She informed us, checking her phone for the time. "Anyway, I heard a new bakery on the corner opened yesterday. Wanna try it before dinner?" Alya suggested.
"Yeah! Sounds great!"

And so it was settled. We walked together down the street towards the small bakery, Alya and Nino holding hands. The walls had big windows in them, and there weren't many people inside, probably because it was still so new.

I spotted a woman ordering something at the counter, talking to a large man with kind eyes, and two people were sitting at a table, talking and laughing.

The bell jingled as we entered, and the man behind the counter smiled at me warmly. For some reason he looked almost familiar, but I shook the feeling away.
"Marinette, could you help the customers please?" He asked the girl sitting at the table with her back facing us.

The boy across from her, with brown hair and brown eyes, looked at us and smiled too, then signaled for the girl to turn around. She had short hair that was so black it had a blueish hue, and it fell around her shoulders. She twisted around in her seat, her enchanting bluebell eyes met mine, and it almost felt like all time stopped.
