that was her magic,
she could see the sunset
even on those darkest days.

i heavily hold my paint ball gun, watching as the other team picked up speed towards our flag. we had it left in the open for various reasons, one of them being that i really liked to shoot people with paint balls.
i looked at kenma quickly, before nodding. kuroo was above the trees, and as soon as they crossed the line you could hear dust hitting people.
the paint bomb.
i wanted to laugh, but people who saw it coming were already crossing the line. so i got on one knee and shot them, kenma covering every person i couldn't get to.
i hear aoba sneaking around the corner, and i looked at kenma quickly.
"cover me!" i holler, moving behind a tree and shooting the last people. i face aoba quickly, reloading my gun as fast as i can. "kuroo, watch the opening." i shout, nicking oikawa in the ear. i smile happily.
"kenma," i retort, turning to look at him. "get over here."
"got it." he whispers, crawling over towards me, i laugh, before turning back to the oncoming team.
"oikawa's stuck to iwazumi's back, so we'll need to take them down first. after that, everyone else is free game."
"perfect," he responds maliciously, and i gently smile at the notion.
me and kenma talk back and fourth as we shoot down every team member, reviling in the fact that me and kenma were pros at this.
the pair of us often went on dates where we played paint ball, and every now and again kuroo and his girlfriend would join in.
basically, the whole nekoma team had been trained in "combat" for forever.
"you wanna go to the movies on sunday?" i reply, not looking in kenma's direction. "you can invite kuroo."
"sorry, i've got plans with kuroo. rain check?" he says, shooting the last team member. the game alarm sounds off, and i cheer.
"rain check." i respond, kissing his cheek.
