Not as the Battle Plans

Chapter 2: The Beginning

5 months earlier

"ROSE! THEIR HERE! WHAT DO WE DO!"
Pearl ran towards Rose tears swelling in her icy blue eyes.
"Who's here?"
Rose knew well who was here but she was hoping something else was in the future.
"The Diamonds."
Garnet turned to Pearl and then looked at Rose.
"They're here for the Earth."
Roses face was filled with both fear and rage.
"Where are they?"
Rose demanded
"D-down by the beach, right in front of the temple."
Pearl pointed behind her. Rose grabbed her sword and began walking towards the beach. Pearl stood in front of her.
"Rose you can't! They have an entire army out there we can't win! Not without everyone else..."
Garnet put her hand on Roses shoulder.
"I'm sorry Rose, but Pearls right. We won't win. If we go out there we'll die."
Rose was shocked at what they were saying to her, We had fought for this planet! Now we're just gonna give up!
Rose pushed Garnets hand off her shoulder and turned to face her, oceans pouring from her eyes.
"We fought for this planet! AN-AND NOW! YOU WANT TO GIVE IT UP!"
Rose walked away from both of them and turned her head over her shoulder.
"This is my planet. It belongs to me, so I get to choose what happens to it."
Rose stared at Garnets shocked face when she finally understood what she meant by "HER PLANET". Pearl equally as struck thinking that they've tried so hard for millennia to hide the truth.
"Pink? Diamond?"
Garnet took off her visor and stumbled back.
"You lied. About everything... this rebellion... y-your shattering? This was a huge lie, j-just do you could be happy?"
Rose stared back blankly. Rose didn't say anything back and instead walked away from the picnic bench's they were eating at.
"D-did you know? Pearl?"
Garnet turned to Pearl who's cheeks were damp with tears.
"Yes. I did. I was the one to shatter her."
Pearl looked at her feet. Garnet unfused, Ruby and Sapphire still holding hands hugged Pearl.
"We should help her. Just for now, then we'll figure out the truth."
Ruby stated still dazed on how quickly this arose and how their day was ruined so quickly.Sapphire backed up from Pearl.
"Of course."
Pearl wiped her tears and turned over to the two small lovers who had again fused into Garnet.
"Let's go."
Garnet pulled out her gauntlet's and hit them together.
"We're gonna finish this war once and for all."

Rose was down at the beach facing the Diamonds
"Rose Quartz! This was Pinks planet how DARE you use it as your hiding place! This planet will no longer be your home nor any of its in habitants!"
Blue Diamond boomed at the small leader.
From behind the two tall women was an entire fleet of air ships ready to set this planet a blaze.
"Get off my planet."
Yellow and Blue stared down at her with disbelief.
"Your planet?! You took this planet from her!!"
Rose stared to cry slightly.
"You guys are just as stupid and un-loving as when I left that damned planet."
Rose dropped her sword and finally let the truth out she flipped her gem and changed back to her original form. Picking up her sword and pulling out her shield, she stood straight up and stared with a dead look in her eyes
"GET OFF MY PLANET."
Blue Diamond dropping to her knees and started to sob uncontrollably.
"P-pink? You've been here all along? W-Why? I don't seem to u-underst-"
Yellow looked up into the sky and saw they were running out of time. The ships were about to blow up the planet and take it off their maps. Yellow grabbed Blue by the arm and yanked her to her feet pulling her toward her ship
"We've got to go! This planet is about to explode!"
"NO! WE CAN'T! PINKS HERE, SHES ALIVE!"
Blue struggling to break free from Yellows grasp, she finally gave in and went towards her ship.
"I'm so sorry, Pink."
Rose now Pink, stood there. She looked up into the sky as the two hand ships flew off into space and all the the ships powered up there canons. Just then Pearl and Garnet ran to Pinks side.
"Their gone? What happened?!"
Pearl shook Pink and she looked down at her. Her eyes dull and full of sadness and defeat.
"We've officially lost this war for this planet. There going to blow it."
Pink hugged both Garnet and Pearl close and put up her shield.
"Forgive me, I dragged you into this and now, I don't even know if my shield will be able to take the blow."
Garnet and Pearl looked at each other with fear struck eyes and hugged their beloved Diamond closer, no matter how much they hated her right now, they loved her none the less. This can't be end. Can it? "I'm sorry, this is the second time isn't it?"
Pearl stared at Pink with those eyes that she gave her once before. Right before the faking of her shattering.
