Chapter 4: Hello, again

Her sobs echoed in the empty garden. She wasted all her time, waiting, for someone who was never going back for her. Spinal sat on her knees in front of the Diamond Line, her mascara pouring down her face, when a sound caught her attention. A sound all too familiar from all the times Pink had left her alone with the pebbles while she went to do 'Diamond work'
"P-pinky?"
She slowly turned around afraid of what she might see. A large figure stood in front of her, but she knew that figure from anywhere even with her new form. This was her. Her Diamond.
Pink... she came back.
She stumbled forward, tears beginning to swell on her eyes again.
"Hello Spinal. Long time no see."
"Indeed.."
Spinal jumped into her arms, warping them tight around her. Pink giggled hugging her back both Pearl and Garnet watching from the warp pad. They didn't want to ruin this small reunion, for it would end soon enough. Pink pulled herself away and letting her hands grip around Spinals small shoulders.
"I have a favor to ask of you."
"O-Of course! Anything for you!"
She smiled at Spinals response, hasn't changed a bit.
"I...I need you to change your form... we're headed to war."
"W-what?"
Pink stood back up pulling a rejuvenator out of her gem, and handed it to Spinal. Spinal griped the weapon, her face began to worry.
"W-what? I don't understand?"
"I know you don't, but trust me. It's the only way. Plus, this weapon suits you."
Her smile warmed Spinals heart. It's all she wanted. To see her smile.
"You up for it?"
"I-I don't know if I can do this, Pinky."
Pink frowned crouching down to be at Spinals eye level.
"Let's play a game."
