Chapter 3: Welcome to Era 3

Present Day

"Get the legs ready for take off... and the corrupted gems."
Rose now formally known as Pink walked away in her new form, proving that she was no longer a leader for Homeworld.
They piled the bubbled gems into the ship and took off.
"Pearl, please check on Garnet. Make sure she is fused by the time we land. I also must speak with her"
Pearl nodded and walked off towards the lower levels of the ship to find Ruby and Sapphire talking, quietly. It was obvious it was about Pink.
"Ruby, Sapphire. So nice to see you two again."
They gasped and turned to face her and stood up straight as if it were she was their broken hearted and rage filled leader.
"Ah! Pearl! It's just you. (thank goddess)"
Ruby let out a sigh of relief and turned back to Sapphire, who then whispered something to her then turned to Pearl.
"We'll fuse back."
Sapphire stated blankly. Pearl smiled.
"Don't feel rushed! We won't be landing on there moon for another hour or so."
Sapphire and Ruby fused again.
"If we don't do it now, we may as well turn back now."
Pearl turned around and looked at Garnet. Future vision. But their fusion didn't seem as happy as before. No smile, only if there was someone who could help fix their broken hearts. Pearl let out a sad sigh.
"We should probably... head back up."
Garnet nodded and began to follow behind Pearl who was waiting on the elevator to bring them back up to the main deck.
"My Diamond, I've brought Garnet."
Pearl stood behind Pink, a few meters distance.
"Perfect. We're landing soon, I need you to prepare the corrupted gems Pearl."
Sadness crawled in her voice. Sadness and fear.
"O-of course."
Pearl let out a shaky sigh and turned to Garnet and squeezed her wrist. Pearl then went back towards the elevator. Pink began to slow the ship.
"Garnet, tell me. What shall happen here?"
"A lot of bloodshed. But from what I see right now we will win."
Pink let out a sigh of relief.
"And what will happen to the other Diamonds?"
"You will choose what's best, even shattering them. But in the end it is up to you, my Diamond"
Pink laughed. Turning around to face Garnet.
"You don't have to call me that if you don't want to."
Garnet chuckled nervously.
"Yea.. I guess."
Pink turned back around to face the outside and her smiled melted away. The broadcast was already sent out, they all knew they were coming. Time to end this.

"We're here, prepare for the start Era 3."

On the moon of Homeworld

Pink Diamond stood there watching the planet.

What a waste.

Turning towards her small army made up of two gems and millions of mindless corrupted life forms that could've lived beautiful lives, full of love and joy but instead, they were here. Watching this planet looking for an opening for attack, and the corrupted ones? There now their main line of attack, weapons, nothing more.
"5 seconds."
"Thank you, Garnet. Pearl, get ready."

Pearl nodding bringing up the transport bubble and putting her hands onto the wheel.

Garnet adjusted her visor.
"NOW!"

Pearl nodded and teleported the bubble to Homeworlds surface. The Diamonds waited their arrival.

"Starlight... please.."
"Don't 'Starlight, please!' Me! I'm not your starlight anymore."

She turned over her shoulder giving a nod of approval to Garnet and Pearl.

"Pop the bubbles."

They quickly turned around creating a giant bubble around all the corrupt gems before popping it and with every gem inside.

"It's all over for you now."

Pink let her voice echo before she brought up the shield around Garnet, Pearl and herself. The corrupted gems began to re-form the shrieks of pain made their ears want to bleed, but the Diamonds, they count care less. Their faces went from calm and kind to angry and impatient.

"You're dead to me you filthy and disgusting Diamonds, I'm ashamed to be one of you."

The roars echoed as the gems took form and began running towards the army of Homeworld gems, and before they knew it, the war had begun. This was a fight they could not lose.
Pink smiled and turned towards Pearl.

"Turn on the broadcast, I'd like everyone to hear this."
"Yes, My Diamond."

She chuckled hearing that name. Diamond. The broadcasting system turned on through out the galaxy, no one would miss this.

"This is Pink Diamond. And yes, I'm still alive. I'd like to make an announcement, as war breaks out here on Homeworld I'd like to welcome everyone to Era 3'"

She smiled widely as the broadcast turned off. The Diamonds were distracted by the sudden chaos.

"Pearl, set course for the Garden. It's time we go back for Spinal."
