The guards had dragged me down to the Green Room in the White House and tied me to a bolted down chair in the center of the room.

"Ah, my son, how nice of you to drop in after three long years of silence. Where have you been? And why show up now of all times, when I rule the entire world? There is no point in fighting a fight that can't be won, so why do you?" Leon asked from the shadows of the room.

"I don't answer to you or anyone else, for that matter. But, in answer to one of your questions I don't stop fighting evil, and I won't stop until I lie dead somewhere and that somewhere will not and cannot be caused by you." I said.

"We'll see about that, my dear boy." Leon said.

There was a shuffling in the dark behind me and then the sharpest and most painful thing I could imagine went straight through my gut.

"AHHHHH!" I screamed.

As I was screaming from the pain, a sword-point poked through my skin and tore a hole in my T-shirt right where my heart should've been. Then the pain stopped and the hole in my skin closed as a metallic crash rang out behind me.

"You're going to be ok, you got that, James?" Sarah asked.

"Sarah, I'm already fine, remember only Dakota can kill me? Where's Leon?" I asked as she finished untying my hands.

"He's on the floor over there, dead, I killed him, on accident, for hurting you, all I meant to do was yank the sword out and push him away, but when I did, of course I was using my magic, but I yanked it out and it swung back and cut his head off." Sarah said.

"Sarah, its ok, just don't worry about him, you did what you thought you had to do to survive and save me, I never liked my dad anyways." I said as I finished untying the ropes around my waist and Sarah finished untying the ropes around my feet.

BOOM! The back wall fell in as soon as the explosion sounded and a dozen armed guards rushed attempting to catch Sarah and I.

"Sarah! Run! I'll slow them down and hopefully stop them from reaching you!" I yelled.

Sarah sprinted as hard as she could straight through the protal I created just in front of her to stop her from coming back.

"Now where were we boys?" I asked with a sadistic and menacing smile.

"James, listen to us, we are here to help you, you're not in the position to fight us, you're not stable enough." The head of the guards said.

"What do you mean?" I asked, raising my hands ready to blast him.

"James, lower your hands, and drop your weapons, we're on your side, trust me. We want to get you back." The guards said.

"No, I'm not going to go back to Dakota, ever!" I yelled and blasted them all except one who I then cornered.

"Who do you work for?" I growled at the man.

"Y-y-y-your m-mother" The man stuttered.

"My mother is dead." I growled and slit his throat.

I then jumped throught the portal and found Sarah on the other side, crying silently, I walked over and tapped her on the shoulder. She jumped and flew right into my arms.

"I thought you were dead, those men were at the point where they looked like they were ready to snap and I thought they did and killed you. I didn't know what to think, I don't know what I would do without you." Sarah said.

"Sarah, I can't be killed by anybody but Dakota, remember?" I reminded her.

"Oh, uh, right, I knew that, sorry, I just... I don't know I think, I just got lost in the despair that took over me when you made sure that I wouldn't be able to come back." Sarah said.

"I only did that because you were in danger and I become something very different when those that I love are in danger." I said.

"Yeah, I kinda figured, most people do have a dark side when they are angered by the endangerment of the people they care for. I still don't like how you got rid of me so that I couldn't help you if you would've needed it." Sarah said.

"Well, I have two things to say to that; one: I don't need help when it comes to defending myself against regular mages and people that aren't Dakota, and two: you don't have any offensive magic to help fight with me about the only things you are able to do are protect others and defend yourself, unlike me where I can defend myself with offensive magics and my sword." I said.

"Well, thanks for the sugar, there, sweetheart." Sarah retorted.

"No problemo, babe." I said as we started to formulate our plans for hunting down and apprehending Dakota.

"I don't think he'd go there, James." Sarah said.

"Why not?" I asked.

"I don't know, maybe because he's evil," Sarah started and then noticed the look on my face, " and also because he's not totally in love with the idea of having his secret lair in an Olive Garden, to me that seems kind of pointless, and I'm pretty sure that no matter how much you and him like pasta, He doesn't want to have to smell it everyday for the whole time he decides to rule that evil clan of his." Sarah said.

"Fine, I suppose so." I said, with an upset look starting to spread across my features.

"Now, I was thinking that perhaps he is hiding out in Paris, or at least that is where he is headed because, well, he can't portal anywhere he wants and it takes longer than one hour to get to France. So, I say we head there and try to put a stop to him while we have the chance. What do you think, James?" Sarah asked.

"Well, that's a pretty good option, I don't see why not." I responded.

"Well then, it's settled lets go to Paris." Sarah said.

I created a portal and stepped through, then gave Sarah the thumbs up saying it was clear to come through. The city was roughly a mile away, but the lights were visible even in the early hours of dusk, I learned that that was the reason as to why Paris is known as the city of lights.

"Sarah, I'm sorry but we will have to walk the rest of the way because regular mortals can't see us use our magic and usually the barrier would block the them from seeing us use magic, but since Leon rose to dictatorship so fast, the barrier has weakened and now the mortals will see us use our magic no matter what we try to use it for and that will make us seem like the bad guys." I said.

"Well, that sucks, I guess we'll walk then." Sarah said.

We had only walked a few feet when we came across a highway on the other side of the hill we were climbing.

"Hey, over here!" A voice called out from our left.

We turned to the sound and saw that a man in a very fancy suit stood there with the symbol of the Institute emblazoned on the right shoulder. We walked over and he told us that he was sent in from the Institute to help us get to the city due to the barrier between the worlds being ripped down by Leon.

"Well, eventually I will get that back up Leon broke it down, but I will build it back up." I told him.

"Good, we can't protect the world if that barrier is down. Now, hurry, Dakota is trying to convince the people of Paris that you two are the cause of their suffering." The chauffer told us.

We hurried into the car and the chauffer took us to the city as fast as he could without attracting any attention to ourselves. When we arrived in the city it wasn't a pleasant site, every eye that turned our way was filled with hatred and loathing.

"Guys it seems that the only way you are leaving this car unharmed is if Sarah does use some of her defensive magic, and by the way, I'm Kator if you ever need me, call on my name, I'll be there." Kator said.

Sarah put up the shield around us two and we left the car in search of Dakota, but when we left the car all of the crowds around us dissapated and the black areas of the city began to grow blacker, Sarah looked over at me as I began to fall and it seemed like she was trying to say something to me but I couldn't hear her. The world continued to blacken and all I could do was lie there and try to stay awake, but in the end I couldn't even do that...
