"Well, well, well, look who finally decided to wake up, James, my goody two-shoes brother. Well its too bad that the world no longer thinks you are on their side. I mean not by their own will, I used some of my natural charm to win them over, but still, now they believe you are the enemy, good luck making it to me now, goodbye brother." Dakota said, and his hologram vanished leaving the army of angry citizens in his wake.
"I honestly don't know how we're going to escape this one, James." Sarah said, next to me.
Hold on tight, Sarah. This could be a bumpy ride. I said, through telepathy, making sure those around us couldn't hear me.
Sarah wrapped her arms around my waist as I unfurled my wings and hurtled us into the sky. Sarah began to scream, whether from fear or joy I couldn't tell, shortly after launching from the ground. Sarah whispered a word after we were high enough that the ground was no longer visible and her ice colored dragon, Aurora, appeared from the gem in her belt. Aurora roared once and then Sarah jumped down onto her back. Aurora flew up next to me, which sent me flying from her powerful wing strokes, and Sarah yelled over, but I couldn't hear over the roaring wind from Aurora's wings. I pointed at the ring that rested on my right ring finger, trying to tell her to use telepathy.
Where are we headed now? Sarah asked.
I'm not sure yet, I'm trying to locate Dakota through the connection we have due to being twins, but as of now I can't find anything. I responded.
Well, we could scout the area, how far away can you feel him from? Sarah asked.
I can feel him from planets away, and I can know exactly where he is, even though I can feel him from so far away, but the problem is unless he wants to be found he can't be found. Most of that problem is due to the fact that I'm not very good at hunting down people's auras yet. I said.
Okay, well, just make sure to tell me before you go running off after him. Sarah said.
I nodded to let her know that I would and then started to search for my brother even harder, not finding much other than just a faint trail that led me nowhere, cut off before I could do anything.
One thing's for sure, he can cover his trail very well. I get faint trails, but shortly afterwards it cuts off and disappears. I said.
I'm hunting his aura as well and you're having better luck than I am. Wait, hang on, that aura shouldn't be here, that is really out of place. Sarah said.
What? What are you picking up, Sarah? I asked.
Leon, I see his aura, but not Dakota's and he must've been here recently, because it's strong and that means he's still alive. Sarah said.
I blanched and blacked out, when I woke I saw the ground stretching its arms out to greet my falling body. I whipped out my wings stopping just a few feet from the surface of the ground.
"Hello, you're a strange thing, aren't you, now." An odd frenchman said to me.
"Should I be wary of you?" I asked in return.
"No, I was just observing the way you fell and then whipped out those dark wings at the last moment, it was beauteous and I must allow your death to come, sorry, but you have been delayed, goodbye." The man said, and exploded, knocking me to the ground.
