Y/N POV
I pulled up to employee parking at the mall. I was running a little late so I jumped out of my car, sprinting towards the doors.
I glanced at my watch.
Shoot. Already late.
Then I checked the date and smiled.
2 and a half weeks to go. Then I get my Tall Guy back.
I thought of his glorious smile. His stunning eyes, his wonderful voice. I loved...
I stepped into Sbarro and froze.
There's a new worker.
He's standing there, in his apron, glorious smile, stunning blue eyes.
I felt tears rush to my eyes and my mouth hung open. I couldn't move.
"Hey Y/N." Wonderful voice.
"T... Tall Guy?"
His smile broadened.
I ran to him crying harder.
"JAKE!!" I jumped up onto the counter and jumped into his arms.
He stumbled back with an oof, and I cried tears of joy.
"Y-you're here!! You're at Sbarro, in a uniform!"
He laughed. "Yes, yes I am."
He ran his finger through my hair and set me down.
I stared up at him, and he brushed a happy tear with his thumb.
My smile couldn't have been wider.
"Wait... you're not coming back for another half a month."
He chuckled.
"I lied."
I gasped and punched him in the arm, really hard.
"Ow!"
"How dare you!"
I grabbed his shirt collar, pulling him down, and kissing him longingly. I missed him so much. His lips on mine was pure bliss.
I felt so overwhelmingly happy.
I pulled away and his face was red, his eyes half-lidded.
"Well," He out his hat on upside down like mine. "Let's get to work!"
I giggled and grabbed my apron and hat from the back.*time skip*
It was 8:45 and we were driving home in my car. I felt Jake's head on my shoulder and turned to see him dozing off.
"First day tire you out?"
He grunted and I chuckled, kissing the top of his head. I soon heard him snoring loudly, and almost laughed out loud, but caught myself.
When we pulled up to my place, I definitely couldn't carry him, but I'd didn't want to wake him up either.
Instead I put his seat down all the way, and walked to his side of the car.
I curled up in the seat with him, laying my head on his chest.
The quiet bliss of the car, with Jake's sleepy sniffles made me smile.
Suddenly he wrapped his arms and legs around me, and snored softer.
I don't think I've ever slept better in my life.Jake's POV
I woke up, the sun shining in my face.
Why's it so damn bright?
I looked down to see Y/N laying on top of me, looking so freakin' adorable.
I realized we were still in her car, and laughed.
I sat and played with her hair till she woke up.
She smiled at me and pecked me on the lips.
"Good morning. Let's get out of this goddamn car." She groaned.
We got out and went inside. I grabbed cereal from her cabinet and she grabbed an apple.
I watched her eat while she stared at her phone.
Her eyes were such a beautiful color, and her hair was absolutely perfect, even after just waking up.
Her radiant skin almost made me jealous, and her lips were so plump and pretty.
She caught me staring at her and I looked down.
"What're you staring at?" She giggled.
God that giggle.
"How beautiful you are."
She laughed like I just said that most ridiculous thing ever.
"Heh, yah."
"No I'm serious."
She raised an eyebrow and took a bite from her apple, about to walk away.
I grabbed her chin and pulled her towards me, kissing her softly.
"Really. I mean it."
She blushed and sighed.
"How did I end up so lucky?" She asked, rubbing up my arm.
I chuckled.
"I love you Y/N."
"I love you too Jake."
The name sent shivers down my spine.
It could the most tragic event in the world, but nothing was ever TRULY sincere or emotional...
Until she said that name.
That's when she meant it.
She hugged me tightly.
"Don't leave." She whispered.
I giggled and checked the time on my watch. I still had another 30 minutes before I had to head home.
"I'm not."
"No I mean... ever."
My heart swelled up a little, and I held her closer.
"I promise."
I had never found it so easy to promise something..
