Let's Have A Talk

Caroline POV

After Klaus asked me about my children, I couldn't stop smiling because I had started thinking about them.

"After you left for New Orleans, a lot of bad things went down," I say. "Do you remember Alaric?" I ask him.

"Yes, your Highschool teacher, right love? But what does he have to do with anything?" he asks me fully confused now.

"Well, there was a witch named Josette. These two first met in a college and later started dating and quickly fell in love with each other, despite Jo being a Gemini coven witch." I say.

"I still don't think this has anything to do with your children, love," he says annoyed.

"I am getting there Klaus, be patient," I said smiling

"Now months into their relationship, we find out that Jo is pregnant with Alaric's baby. This baby turns out to be twins and they decided to keep it a secret since the curse regarding twins from a Gemini Coven scared Alaric" I said in a depressed mood and maybe Klaus guessed that because he moved his hands closer to mine and held them.

I looked up in his eyes, gave him a sad smile and continued "When Alaric and Jo decided to get married, they held their wedding in a barn." I paused for a few moments before continuing.

"But before their final vows, Kai, her twin brother suddenly shows up and stabs Jo from the back, killing her. Jo dies a bloody death in Alaric's arms. After this, Alaric falls into an obvious state of mourning as he searches for ways to possibly resurrect Jo, but he fails and kills himself to be with her" I say.

"I am sorry you had to go through that alone, Caroline," he says sincerely and in return, I squeezed his hands before continuing again.

"Later we found out that the Gemini Coven had siphoned the babies from Jo into me. But they don't carry the curse since they were in a vampire for 9 to 8 months. It's funny, they look more like me and my dad than Jo and Alaric" I say laughing sadly.

"That's because they are your children, Caroline. You are the one who carried them and provide for them" he said.

"Too bad Elena doesn't think so. She tried to take them away from me and of course, Damon helped her. Stefan had had enough with her constant need to the centre of attention and left her to be my big brother and protect me even if I can do it myself" I said looking down and smiling.

"Can I see them??" he asks me with a genuinely with a small smile. I took him to the nursery which was just adjacent to my room and study.

I take both of my children from the crib and give him one to hold and then we both sit down on the couches in the room.

"This is Regina" I say, looking at my baby girl.

"A true Queen, why didn't I think of that," he says and I nod my head laughing.

"And this is my son Malcolm Alaric Forbes," I said smiling at my two angles.

"Never saw you one for Shakespeare love," he says with a teasing look and at that moment Stefan and Rebekah burst in the room.

"Care, you have to see this and you too Klaus," Stefan says out of breath.

"Are these yours?" Rebekah asks me with a look of fascination her eyes and I reply with a nod, "You go with Stefan and I will put these two angles in bed, Okay" said.

"No, I can put them in bed just fine, Rebekah," I say stubbornly as my maternal instincts had emerged once again.

"She won't take them away from Care," Stefan said trying to reason with me.

"Okay, but take care of them, Rebeka or else I will personally make your life a living hell," I say seriously.

"Okay, then that is settled let's start with the problem downstairs," Stefan says and he, me and Klaus van speed downstairs to see what mess they have made now.

I was very excited about this part as this was my favorite because it contained Caroline children.

Hope you don't mind that I replaced Josie and Lizzie with Regina and Malcolm.
