Katherines POV
There was a comfortable silence in the car as all of us took off for the compound, shifting my legs off Elijah, I sat upright, giving Elijah space to dust off the muds my heels had probably left. It's not like I was sleeping on him like Caroline was on Klaus, I thought, as I took my phone out and clicked pictures of them. Care would be so red if she saw this. Snickering, I showed Elijah the pictures. "They look right together," He said, smiling and shook his head at my grin.
"Got yourself some blackmail eh, Katerina?" Klaus said laughing, but he didn't look mad about it, so I guess that's good for me.
"Not really" I replied casually, "More like preserving memories I guess," I said, which shocks him, and Elijah just looks at me weirdly with his eyes shining.
"Do you think anyone noticed them yet in the basement?" Freya suddenly asked quietly, on which I had to roll my eyes, something Elijah didn't like I suppose because he gave me a reprimanding look.
"Sage and Finn?" Elijah asked and she nodded, her eyes set outside the window. I didn't trust her. Not one bit. There was something about her that I couldn't shake off.
"Well, Bonnie and Kol were there, so I'm sure they know not to just randomly show them off like animals in a zoo" I said. Spending time with the bennet witch and her original lover had given me enough time to get to know them well and develop a familiar bond.
"What are you guys talking about?" a groggy voice sounded as we all turned to look at a yawning Caroline in Klaus's arms. Suddenly, her eyes turned alert and panicked "Where are my kids?!"
"With me" Freya said from her place at the back of the car, the kids sleeping beside her in their car seat things or whatever they were called. Caroline smiles at her, gratitude showing in her eyes over the fact she had cared for her kids.Maybe Freya wasn't so bad after all.

"Well you certainly took your merry time, didn't you?" Kol says sarcastically, but the small smile on his face told me he was glad to see Caroline safe and well.
"Well, I certainly wasn't dying to meet Finn here" Klaus says, his face set in a stone cold mask of a man I once knew. Finn scoffed at him, "Well you certainly haven't changed brother" he said, holding a women, probably Sage, closer to him.
"Guys, stop it. We're here to ask Finn to join us, not create more enemies" Caroline said in an exasperated voice, and I had to agree with her. Agitating Finn would only lead to more chaos that I wasn't sure we could deal with or not.
Finn looked at Sage, "We have decided we don't want to fight you brother, we're here to help and-" He started but Klaus cut him off.
"And we're just supposed to believe that? After all that has happened. I'm just supposed to trust the likes of you?" He said angrily.
"Well, isn't that why you resurrected us, brother?" Finn said calmly, while I could see that he meant every word, I was still unsure about where his true loyalties lay. There was an air of sorrow surrounding the whole basement. Probably because of the poor ventilation, but oh well.
"Maybe we can have Silas look into their minds" Bonnie suggested, ever the clever one, and I looked at her in appreciation while Finn nodded, "I saw him with you all, though I couldn't believe my own eyes, the first vampire" he mused.
"Well I wouldn't call the immortal that in front of him if I were you," Kol says amusement in his voice. Silas and him had spent plenty of time teaching and practicing spells with bonnie.
"So, we go find Miss Forbes dad. Get their minds checked, and then what? What if they turn out to not be as distrustful as you thought brother?" Elijah speaks, his words flowing with his usual accent which made me want to jump him right there.
"We decide what we do then, brother. Do you really think after all this time he's still not conniving our demise with mother?" Kol replies, his face taunt with hidden anger. Anger for Finn, anger for slow and painful death.
I had heard about it from Bonnie, how he had died from the curse Finn had placed. How it was one of the traumatic nightmares that haunted her. Looking at Bonnie I could see that she was keeping her distance from Finn and Sage, probably not trusting herself enough to hold back whatever curses she herself wanted to put on them.
"Stop. We decide what we do after we have seen my dad. He'll know what to do and it's better we include Enzo and Stefan in whatever plans we're making next" Caroline said, and I could hear the tiredness in her voice. Sleep, I wanted to tell her, but with the current situation and all the pressure she probably had put on herself, I held back on making any comments.
As we all looked at each other, one thing was clear. Silas was the only thing standing between the Mikealson siblings, and Finn dying.
