This has to be a nightmare! This can't be happening, not to me... not to Nate
Oh god...
And Shaun...
My hands burned with ice as I hit the ground.
Trying to catch my breath...
All words were lost as I looked up, seeing the ice clawing at Nate's face and clothes which brought tears to my eyes as I slapped the switch to open the compartment.
"Come on, come on, come on..."
I cried through shattering teeth, the pod opened.
The manual voice spoke of some malfunction but I ignored it.
"Oh god..."
I stared at my husband, I gently took his hand in mine and slid his ring off.
"I'll find who did this... And I'll get Shaun back... I promise."

A few days later, I was cleaning my power armor and brushed some of my hair out my eyes as Preston walked over,
I had saved Preston and a few of his friends at Concord from some raiders, they're now staying in Sanctuary.
"So you heading to Diamond city soon?"
Preston asked, leaning against the wall of one of the old houses.
I nodded as I stood up,
"Yeah, just... Trying to put it off, you know?"
Preston clapped me on the back, with a sympathetic smile.
"Hey, you gotta start somewhere right? Diamond City might just be the place and you're not too bad with that gun of yours!"
