Have you ever seen how a spider moves?
Erratic, jittery, subtle with fear
Settling into nooks and small, dainty grooves
I think you may be a spider, my dearFor you've woven a web and I am caught
Tangled, scrabbling for purchase against you
My brow is furrowed into a harsh knot
And I'm aching with the weight of the slewBecause I'm caught, beating wings helplessly
Staring into glassy eyes that don't care
Speckled skin forms expressions carelessly
Playing with me, tugging me through the airI know this circumstance is my own fault
For I'm the fool that toured the spider's vault

Sonnets for Someones
PoetryI've discovered a love for sonnets due to my AP English Literature and Composition class, so I began writing sonnets about people, places, and things. These are a collection of sonnets, as well as generally poetic musings that follow my thoughts.
