tw: mentions of self harm. I may revisit this work to create a rhyming rendition, but this is what I have now.

Each note of the song digs into me
As if they took the horse hair bow and pressed it into my forearm directly
Filleting up the sinew along the length of the appendage
Treating my arm as the strings of one of the instruments
Spilling red to match the roses adorning their attire
Howling resonant tunes of love into a chasm of hatred
I know it's not directed at me
I know it's not meant to hurt me
But goodness
Does it ache just as bad, if not moreIt's not for me

Sonnets for Someones
PoesiaI've discovered a love for sonnets due to my AP English Literature and Composition class, so I began writing sonnets about people, places, and things. These are a collection of sonnets, as well as generally poetic musings that follow my thoughts.
