You decide to take the path on your left.

Jade looks victorious. You are wondering if it was not a better idea to choose the other option, just to stop her from showing off!

Some kind of tension rises in the group after your decision. You do not dare to look into Johan's eyes. There is no need to be a telepath to be aware of his disapproval! Therefore, you are walking on the path, completely silent. Even Jade does not say a word, for once! You have to admit that the dark-haired man has a really impressive aura.

Suddenly, you can hear quick steps behind you. You all turn around simultaneously and almost immediately perceive a dark figure running towards you. The killer!

Your instinct instantly takes over. You cannot think of anything while your legs are moving beyond your control. A crazy hunt starts in these undergrounds, soon interrupted by a painful high-pitched scream. You have the impression of watching the scene in slow-motion. Jade slowly trips, falling on the ground like a rag doll. Benjamin rushes to her to rescue her. You cannot stay here motionless and watch them. You have to make a decision.

Do you choose to help Jade, or to run and hide yourself?

You choose to help Jade.

Fine, she has really been a total nuisance since the beginning of this adventure. But this is not a reason to let her down. After all, you all are in the same boat, so it is better to stick together. You bravely rush to her. But you do not have the time to reach her. A blade stabs the woman in the back, right at the location of her heart. Her ruffle top progressively turns carmine red while Benjamin is screaming of anger at the top of his lungs. He jumps, his fist clenched, towards the perpetrator of the crime, but his anger is blinding him. His voice fades away as the same weapon is piercing his forehead. He heavily collapses on a pool of haemoglobin.

This horrific sight makes your blood run cold. A little voice inside your head is urging you to get out of here, but your limbs, paralysed by fear, will not move. The dark figure is fast and nimble. He joins you in no time and cuts your throat. It feels more like watching a film than living your own death. Only the horrible sensation left by the cold blade proves you that you are unfortunately a character from this ridiculous scenario. Your blood melts with your two misfortunate companions' while you are looking at the killer who is leaving with his bloody knife glistening in the dark, chasing after Johan.

You did not survive Instinct. Do not hesitate to start the adventure again, but keep in mind that each decision you make may be deadly.

You choose to abandon your friends.

They have too little chance to survive. You are not going to put yourself in danger for nothing. While trying to ignore your conscience, you escape with Johan. You both arrive at a dead end. You want to turn back, but a metal gate closes behind you. You then notice with horror that the walls are getting dangerously closer. Panicked, you push them with all your strength in order to stop them, unsuccessfully. Johan takes you by your arm. He is shaking his head with sadness in his eyes.

"Y/N... There's no point in doing this."

You cannot believe it. This cannot be the end! You push him and hit the wall several times before collapsing, completely desperate. Johan is looking at you, without saying a word. You curl up, your eyes filled with tears. The dark-haired man sits next to you and kindly pats your shoulder. He does not seem at ease, but he still tries to reassure you. You are very grateful.

You eventually end up being pressed between the walls. You are suffocating, and your rib cage is ready to explode at any moment. Johan suddenly takes your hand.

"Even if... we didn't talk too much... I just want you to know... that I have really appreciated those moments..."

His voice is just a whisper. He gathers all his strength to show you -for the first and last time- a gorgeous smile. His dark eyes are the last thing you see, before your lungs explode in an unspeakable pain.

You did not survive Instinct. Do not hesitate to start the adventure again, by making better decisions this time.
