You have no weapon.

You are completely vulnerable against a highly dangerous arachnid. The room, entirely empty, does not offer you any opportunity to attack or to defend yourself, and you are not dumb enough to fight with your bare hands. You are also doubting the efficiency of throwing your shoes at it.

The animal is still walking towards you, making the floor creak under its weight from time to time. You must react, and fast.

You have two choices: staying motionless, or escaping the spider at full speed.

You choose to stay motionless.

Moving will only make things worse. You do not particularly want the spider to jump towards you, fangs out, just because you scared it by running around like a madman. Therefore, you are staying motionless, hoping from the bottom of your heart that the spider will soon get uninterested.

The animal is slowly getting closer, while you feel like becoming a statue. You instinctively hold your breath. One... two... three... Suddenly, the beast jumps towards you and violently bites you. You can feel its fangs piercing your skin while its legs are wrapping around you. You push the creature away with all your strength and rush towards the exit, but it is too late. You barely have the time to make a move when an unbearable pain is taking over, causing you to kneel down. The venom is rapidly spreading through your body while you are gritting your teeth. The spider takes this opportunity to wrap her legs around you, again. You try to free yourself, without success. Your vision gradually darkens as the venom is consuming you. Panting, you wheeze, before giving up the ghost.

You did not survive Instinct. Do not hesitate to start the adventure again, by adopting another strategy!

You choose to run.

There is no way you are letting that thing getting closer to you! You avoid the beast and rush towards the exit, almost tripping over a lath. The animal seems to look at you for a while, before peacefully continuing its little walk in the room. You are surprised: is it blinded by the darkness? You thought that the spiders were way more aggressive, but you almost want to cuddle it as you watch its cute little hopping gait.

You do not waste your time and go to the exit. You passed the test!
