Its been a while since I've posted (I'm an exchange student now, so super busy), so here's a little recap: Loki stole the tesseract and went to Dr Strange present time, to see what was going on. But the Tesseract was taken from him by the remaining Avengers and he was thrown in jail. Once he got the information he needed, he escaped, burnt down a SHIELD facility, and stole the tesseract back. Then he had an encounter with Thor, who let him escape (even though Loki stabbed him again) to see Frigga. Loki couldn't convince her to come back with him, but he promised to visit. He was about to go back to Thor, when he found Thor the Dark World Loki in the dungeons. Our Loki freed TTDW Loki and gave him the Tesseract in order that TTDW Loki could rule the world in that timeline so our present day Loki could have somewhere to escape to when he needed.
