💿Chapter 18💿

Last chapter

"What am I doing here?" I ask looking over to hayley.
"Well....we found you in your room. You attempted to kill your self." Hayley begins to say.
"WAIT WHAT?!?" I scream.
"W-w-w-wh-what....." I begin to tremble.
"Annie calm down!" My mother shouts at me. I began to sweat profusely. I start to shake. This can't be real. There's no way that, that was a dream. There's now way. There's now way. There's now fucking way-
"N-n-n-no. What about the m-mall?!?!" I say struggling to get out of my bed. My mom yells for a doctor and yells Hayley to go wait in the hallway. I'm fighting through the doctors as I run down the hallway. I can barely stand but I just keep running. I run up the stairs, losing the doctors and my mom and making it up to the roof.
I pant out of breath holding on to the side of the roof and looking over at the city. Fog laying on the mountains as cars splash through puddles.
I sit on the edge of the rooftop. My legs dangling down. I need to be alone. I need to breath. I can't be in this hospital right now. My major concern is Asher Dov Angel. I need to see if he's alive or not. I need to see if the past few days have been a dream or not. I began to stand up when a bunch of doctors rush out of the door towards me. They grip me up and take me back to my room. Maybe I can sue them because they are holding onto me really tight. I'm definitely gonna get bruises from this.
They put me back in my bed and stick the IV into my hand. My mom and Hayley come back in. Hayley looks really upset. I mean I can't blame her. She almost lost her sister.
"Hayley?" I ask.
"Yeah Ann's?" She says looking up at me.
"C-can I talk to you alone?" I ask her not making eye contact with my mom. No matter what she does. I'm still mad at her.
"Mommy? Can Ann's and I y'all alone?" Hayley says looking over to her.
"Uh sure but make it quick." She says walking out of he room and closing the door. I move over so Hayley can sit next to me and I grab her hand.
"I'm sorry Hay hay. I really am. Things just got really tough and I didn't know what to do." I said looking at her, tears filling my eyes.
"Ann's....what do you think sisters are for? Just to annoy you? That's true but they are here to help you. If you ever need help with anything. If you ever need to talk about anything, and I mean anything, I am always here." She says tears falling down my eyes. I'm now a crying mess and hugging her tight. I never want this to end but a thought came into my head. I need to know if Ashers alive. I know it sounds selfish of me to get out of "sister bonding time" but this is more important. I'll never be the same if he's gone.
I let go over her and wipe the tears off of her cheeks and tuck her hair behind her ear. She really is a beautiful girl. Way prettier than I'll ever be. Beautiful brown eyes, fluffy, soft, brown curls, long eyelashes, a funny, yet caring personality. She is literally the definition of perfect.
"Hay?" I ask her playing with one of her rings on her fingers.
"Yeah Ann's?" She says looking up at me.
"How long have I been here?" I ask her. She moves my hand away from hers and sits up straight.
"About a week. You were in a coma." She replies back to me without even blinking.
"Okay. Um...I have something important to ask you..." I start to say. She just nods her head. "Do I have a heart condition? So a lot has happened while I was in my coma. Uh..so it may have been a dream, it may have not. That's why I'm asking...also is Asher alive?" I asked without taking a breath.
"Hold on..slow down. Did you just ask if Ashers still here? Of course he is. He has been the past 7 days. He has been here everyday and is home sleeping right now." She says. I just couldn't help but start
to sob. Hay hugs me as I sob into her shirt. Her shirt is now drenched but idc.
"Can you maybe get my phone so I can call or text  him..somethings happened last week..that I want to talk about with him." I say getting nervous .
"Of course." She says and goes towards her backpack and gets it.
"Why was it in there?" I asked turning it on.
"To keep safe." She says sitting back down on the bed.
I began to dial his phone number. I start to feel butterflies. Not the good kind I'm very nervous. To talk to him. Last time I talked to him was in the email. I've ignored him. I feel terrible. I clench my hand onto my phone with my phone against my ear. It rings for a little bit until it finally picks up.
(In the call)
"A-Annie? Is this you? Julianna?!? Are you there?!? Come on say something!" Asher says. I couldn't say anything. I was frozen. Hayley grabs my phone.
"Asher! Annie is up she just froze once you answered." Hayley reply's back to him.
"I'll be right over. Wait...does she want me to come..what about Jack.." Asher starts to ramble on.
"No don't tell jack. Just get your ass over here." Hayley says in an angry tone.
"Hayley!" I can hear Asher say and she hangs up.

(No ones POV)
Asher texts Hayley telling her he is walking through the doors of the hospital. Annie fell asleep not too long after she called Asher and H$ is just going through Instagram. Asher knocks on the door and sees that Annie is asleep and sets a vase of red and white roses on her nightstand and pulls a chair next to hayley. Hayley gets out of the bed and hugs Asher tight. Asher has been at the hospital everyday waiting for annie to wake up. He hasn't cried in days. He just can't. There's no more tears to cry. He hasn't eaten at all in this past week. Not even the slightest bit.
Hayley goes over to annie and gently pushes her to get up. Annie opens her eyes and looks over at Hayley and rolls her eyes and closes her eyes again.
"Annie you have a guest." Hayley says shaking annie awake.
"Whatever." She says and sits up. She rubs her eyes and looks over at Asher and freezes. Water fills the rims of her eyes and she begins to cry.
"Hayley can you please go to the cafeteria and get food or something so I can talk to Ann's alone?" Asher asks getting up to go over to annie. Hayley just nods and closes the door.
"Annie.." Asher begins to say.
"I can't talk to you." Annie says looking away at the window.
"Come on...Ann's." Asher begins to say sitting on the edge of her bed grabbing her hand to hold.
"Asher I said I can't talk to you." She says not even looking at him and pulling her hand away from his.
"Annie, I know what happened." He begins to say grabbing her hand again.
"Then what happened?!" She says finally looking at the boy who is madly in love with her.
"Kenz told me. I don't want to say any more but the girls called the police on anyone that was involved in it. They are all now in Juvenile detention. All traces of any of those pictures are all gone. You don't need to worry anymore." Asher says. Annie just stayed silent. She didn't know what to say so she stopped looking at Asher and looked back at the window.
"Do you like Jack?" Asher asks. Annie stayed silent for a couple of seconds.
"No." She says still looking out the window.
"Annie look at me." Asher says grabbing her chin and moving it so she can look at him.
"What?" She reply's back.
"Do you like Jack?" Asher repeats.
"What is your problem?!?! Is that all you care about. Fucking Jack?" She says almost yelling at him.
"No Annie. I need to know that you still like me or if I'm wasting my time here." Asher says looking down.
"Whatever." She says rolling her eyes.
"Annie yes or no?" He replies back.
"Oh my fucking god. Yes I like you. No. Scratch that, I love you. Do you know how hard it was ignoring you and seeing you at the movies?!!!" She says desperately.
"Annie...." Asher begins to say.
"Just save it. Just go home Ash. You clearly don't want me." She says letting a tear fall from her eye and looking away from the boy. He gets up but sits on the other side of the bed where she is. He raises his hand up to her cheek and wipes the tear away with his thumb.
"Julianna Grace LeBlanc, I am madly in love with you." He says grabbing her hand and moving her face so she is looking at him.
