16. MMA

Bucky walked in the gym, only to see Jen already running on the treadmill. Few other people were running beside her, while others were cycling. He walked towards her and stood besides her.

Jen noticed him and smiled at his reflection in the mirror. She slowed down her speed and jumped off the treadmill to greet him.

"Hey, Bucky!", she said grabbing her bottle.

"Hey Jen"

"Done with running. And cycling too.", she informed him.

"Good, so we can start with MMA"

"Okay."

Bucky walked into the training ring, gesturing Jen to get in.

"I figured there will be some sort of fight in your test, so might as well prepare it", Bucky said giving her the wraps.

"You think I can learn how to fight in two weeks?"

"Don't worry, I will teach you some techniques", Bucky said grinning.

"Lethal ones?"

"No, but more than enough to knock down your opponent."

"Okay", Jen said chuckling.

Bucky taught Jen all the basics of boxing. She picked them up quickly. She was indeed a fast learner. Now was the time for a one on one match. Bucky vs Jen.

"Come on, get up, and remember always keep your guard up"

Jen nodded getting up. She adjusted her head gear and got in her stance

"Ready?", Bucky asked smirking

"Always.", Jen replied attacking him.

Bucky and Jen boxed for another hour and completed their workout.

"Tonight was fun!", she exclaimed, unwinding the wraps from her hands.

"I am glad you enjoyed it. It's a good stress buster.

"True."

"And I must say you are a fast learner, Jen."

"Thanks, That's because you are a good teacher."

Bucky smiled, passing Jen the protein shake he made for her.

"Here drink this, you need to recover too."

"Thanks, Buck.", she said, taking a sip of it. "It's tasty."

Bucky thought for a second, thinking of a way to ask her out. Something she couldn't refuse.

But what can it be? Think Bucky, think!

"So", he started. "What are your plans this weekend?

"You mean tomorrow?"

"It's weekend already?"

"Yes, finally!"

"So any plans?"

"Not really, why do you ask?"

"I don't know maybe we could go out for a movie?"

"Is it safe for you to go out?", Jen asked worried, gaining a groan from Bucky.

"You forgot about it?", Jen asked laughing. "Also there is no good movie in theater right now, trust me, I checked.", she continued.

"Oh", Bucky was disappointed. He tried and failed and luckily nothing went wrong.

"Thanks for the shake Buck", she said getting up "Meet you tomorrow"

"Sure", Bucky said following her out.
