29. Back Home

Both Jen and Bucky bid Wakanda goodbye and returned home. They went to their respective rooms and rested for a while. Bucky noticed Steve and Natasha still hadn't returned and Sam too was nowhere in the tower. So he chose to stay in his room and watched TV.

Jen knocked on his door in the evening and let herself in. "Hey Bucky", she said giddily.

"Jen?", Bucky asked confused. She felt different to him. He vibe, her stance was different. She felt like her old self. He liked her this way but was confused to see her at this hour of the day. "Why are you here?"

"I was getting bored and Alex is out somewhere so I thought maybe I could spend some time with you."

"Aren't you bored already, by spending a whole week with me?"

"Not really, but if you are, then I will leave.", she said gesturing at the door.

"I can never be bored with you.", Bucky replied truthfully.

Jen smiled brightly and asked, "What are you watching?"

"Just some old documentaries. Feel free to put something else on."

"Do you like Disney movies?", she asked hopping on his bed.

"Watched a few..", Bucky said trying to remember their names.

"Have you watched Tangled?"

"Nope", he said getting under the sheets.

"So, Tangled it is.", Jen said clicking on the movie.

Jen was engrossed in the movie when suddenly she felt someone watching her intensely. She looked to her side to see steel blue eyes staring at her.  "Are you OK?", she asked him. She hated the effect they had on her. Why do I get so bothered?, she always wondered.

"Huh?", Bucky replied snapping out of his thoughts. "Sorry", he said. "I was thinking about something."

"And what is it?"

"I have a few questions for you, Jen."

"Hmm", she said turning back to see Eugene.

"And I want you to answer them honestly."

Jen shifted her attention to him. "What is it Bucky? I am trying to watch a movie."

"How did you know about Sputnik?", Bucky asked her cautiously.

"I saw it on the server."

"It's not on the server.", he stated confidently.

"It is Bucky.", Jen replied turning her attention back to the movie.

Bucky grabbed the remote and turned the TV off. "HEY!", Jen shouted grabbing it back from him.

"Answer me first."

"What do you want?", Jen asked annoyed.

"How the hell do you know about Sputnik? I looked for it, I didn't find it. How did you find it? And where exactly did you see it?"

"You must have not searched enough.", Jen argued. He shouldn't know.

"Oh really?", Bucky asked raising his eyebrow.

"Fine", Jen said, giving up. "I will tell you but promise me you won't tell anyone and most importantly won't judge me"

"What did you do Jen?", Bucky asked, concerned.

Where should I start from?? Oh, Ok, here we go. "Remember the day we met?", she asked blushing.

Crystal clear Sweetheart. Bucky nodded,"Yes. And what about it?"
