Tears rolled down Jen's face as she stared at the picture in her hand. It was her and Bucky from the photo booth at the fair. Their silly, happy faces, made her smile in between her cries. She had found it in the hoodie she had stolen from him. I hope he doesn't notice, she hoped.

She laid on her bed reminiscing about that night. A smile formed on her face as memories stormed in. Bucky's happy face bought her joy. She was drunk yes, but remembered most of it. Their laughter, that broken machine, the crushed beers cans, and also their kiss. She remembered it all.

She let out a sigh as she looked at the picture again. She wanted this. She had her chance and chose to ruin it. What would have happened if I had stayed with him? What's the worst that could have happened to me?

But then she realized what she did was probably for the best. She came to the conclusion that she can not have him. "I can't have this. I can never have this."

"And why is that?"

Jen jumped up, in a defensive position, looking to see who had barged in her room.

"Sam? God, you scared me", she said relaxing her stance. She crumpled the picture hurriedly and hid it in her back pocket.

"Why can't you have this?"

"What are you talking about?"

"The picture of you and Bucky. Of that night I assume. Why can't you have this?"

"Oh, it's nothing. By the way, why are you here? Do you need anything?"

"Yes, answers. I know it's none of my business but why are you ignoring Bucky? I thought you liked him. He said you said that yourself. Also, the way you look at him, I mean what is all that about?"

"I don't think I have any interest in him, to be honest."

"Bullshit. You were crying over that picture before I walked in. If you were not interested, then why cry?"

Jen looked down avoiding Sam's gaze. She had no answer to his question. Not now at least.

"I don't know what's going on in your head or is it a new trend or style in dating but it's stupid. I know u like him and-"

"No, I don't. Stop saying that Sam. Stop, please.", Jen cried, her voice cracking as she tried not to cry.

"What is it, Jen? Are you Ok?"

"I am fine.", she said walking towards her window. "Is there anything else?"

"No."

"Fine then just leave. I have work to do."

"Whatever dude.", Sam said letting out a heavy sigh. "If you need to talk you know where to find me", he said exiting her room.

"Fucking teenagers", Sam muttered, exiting.

Jen spent the evening alone in her room, watching her favorite show on Netflix. Her phone beeped grabbing her attention. She placed her bowl of ice cream on the table and picked up her phone to see that she had a message from Alex.

Alex: All the best for tomorrow! I know you will kill it!

Jen: Thank you, babe!

Alex: Don't thank me, thank your Bucky

Jen: Ya, will do.

Alex: Goodnight, sleep tight Jen, meet you tomorrow.

Jen: Goodnight.

She set the alarm for the morning and shut her laptop keeping it aside. I hope everything goes well tomorrow, she prayed. Need to thank Bucky too. I hope he talks to me.
