"It was a good run", Bucky said timing their run.
Jen slowed down, panting hard, trying to catch her breath. She was exhausted by the run, Bucky, on the other hand, seemed fine. She sat on the nearby bench and watched Bucky stretch out beside her.
"Jen?", he said grabbing her attention.
"Yes?"
"What if they ask you to do a plank for thirty minutes?"
"Plank for thirty minutes!", Jen repeated in horror "Are you out of your mind?"
"They are testing your physical strength, right? Plank for thirty minutes is a possibility"
"No one can do a plank for thirty minutes, Buck"
"I can"
"I mean no normal person can do a plank for thirty minutes."
"Yeah, true that", Bucky said, his face falling a bit. He knew he was not normal, he was a supersoldier, but Jen pointing that out hit him hard.
Jen noticed the sudden change in Bucky's demeanor and asked if he was Ok.
"No, nothing", he said dismissing her question.
Jen thought for a second and recalled what she just said.
"Is it because I may have called you not normal?", she asked him cautiously.
Bucky sighed, and Jen got her answer. So that made him uncomfortable.
"I didn't mean it that way", she explained.
"I know."
Jen noticed Bucky was still fidgeting with his fingers, anxious, clearly affected by her comment.
"Look why don't you learn to embrace it? Just like Tyrion said Never forget what you are, the rest of the world will not. Wear it like armor and it can never be used to hurt you."
Bucky looked at Jen registering what she just said. She was right, he should embrace what he has become. He can't change his past, might as well embrace it and use it for good.
"Those are some wise words, Jen." Bucky said making her smile. "But whose Tyrion?", he asked.
"Tyrion Lannister.", Jen said looking straight into his eyes, making sure he hears her correctly.
Bucky could sense that he better remember who Tyrion was or else no one could protect him from the wrath of Jen. Tyrion? Sounds familiar, he tried remembering where he had heard it from.
"From Game of Thrones?", she added.
Then it clicked to him.
"Oh Game of thrones! No actually, I never watched game of thrones."
"What!", Jen jumped upstanding, horror evident on her face. "You never watched game of thrones?"
"Oh here we go", Bucky rolled his eyes. "Are you one those super fans of that TV show?"
"Hell yeah, I am! How did you not watch it yet?"
"I don't know maybe because I have a life", Bucky said with a chuckle.
"Buck, you should watch it, it's amazing! You know what, forget about the movie, we will watch game of thrones tonight!", Jen declared excitedly.
"Jen.."
"Please Bucky, Give it a try!"
"But Jen-"
"How would you know if u don't even try?", Jen asked trying hard to convince Bucky.
Bucky looked at her, who was waiting for his reply, with pleading eyes. How could I ever say no to this pretty face? "Fine.", Bucky agreed smiling at her.
"Yes!"
Bucky's phone rang the very next second. "It's Steve.", he said. "I have to take this."
"You coming?", Jen asked gesturing Bucky to get back in the building.
"No, you go ahead. I will meet you later."
"Sure. Then meet you in the evening", she said running towards the compound's entrance.
