PAGKATAPOS magbreakdown ni Adeline sa bahay nina Drake ay dinala nila ito sa hospital. Agad na lumipad patungong Pilipinas ang Uncle Audric at Auntie Andrea niya para damayan si Adeline.

Hindi na din naman nila inabala ang mga ito dahil sa bilin na din ng Dad niya na huwag siyang lalapit sa uncle niya. It's for her own safety.

"Where do you want to go now, ma reine?"

Tumingin siya sa labas ng kotse kung saan makikita ang hospital na kinaroroonan nina Adeline at ng pamilya nito.

"Magiging okay kaya si Adeline?" Wala sa hinagap na tanong niya. Nag-aalala siya para rito na hindi naman dapat. Siguro dahil sa hormonal changes dala ng pagbubuntis niya.

"She'll be fine. Don't worry too much."

Hindi mag-alala. Iyon nga ang dapat niyang gawin. Bumaling siya kay Drake.

"She's still your wife, Drake. Hindi ka ba nag-aalala sa kanya?"

Isang tipid na ngiti ang sumilay sa labi nito bago sumagot.

"I'm concern about her but I am more concern with you and our baby. Besides, I found out that our marriage was all a lie. Hindi ito rehistrado sa civil registrar. Ibig sabihin, all my life with her and all the mourning I did was a part of her lies."

She was left dumbfounded with what he said. Nagawa ni Adeline ang lahat ng 'yon?

"W-Why did she do that?"

"I understand where she's coming from. I've talked to her mom and Adeline has a lot of pressure in her shoulder because of her father."

"What do you mean?"

"Her father wanted her to marry an older man in exchange of money and investments. So she escaped, changed her name, identity and everything. That's when she became my wife and the rest was history. Hindi pa natapos doon ang paghihirap ni Adeline. When she came back in her family, mas nadagdagan ang pagpapahirap ng ama niya sa kanya. She was raped because of her own father."

Natutop niya ang bibig sa mga rebelasyong sinabi ni Drake. Hindi siya makapaniwalang nangyari ang lahat ng yon kay Adeline.

"Audric set her up to his business partner. He let that man violate his daughter for a million dollar investment in his company."

Naikuyom niya ang kamao sa sobrang galit sa ama ni Adeline.

"Paano niya nagawa ang mga bagay na iyo sa sarili niyang anak?"

Mahinang tumawa si Drake na nakapukaw ng kanyang pansin. Tiningnan niya ito.

"Adeline is not their biological daughter. Namatay ang totoong anak nina Audric at tita Andrea hours after nitong maipanganak kaya inampon nila si Adeline. Adeline is safe when her mother is around but if Tita is not by her side, she's in danger with her father. I've tried telling her mother to file a case against her husband but Tita Andrea doesn't want to ruin their family."

Mas lalong umakyat sa ulo ang galit niya. Hahayaan ng Tita niya na ang anak na tinuring ng mga ito ay ilang beses na ipinahamak ng asawa nito. Adeline doesn't deserve them.

"If they can't stand for Adeline, then I will do it for her."

Buo na ang desisyon niya para ituloy ang kaso sa Uncle Audric niya ngunit pinigilan siya ni Drake.

"Huwag nating pangunahan ang pamilya nila, Viane. Yes, Adeline suffered a lot but she loves her parents more than anything. Kung gusto talaga niya na makulong ang ama niya, matagal na sana niyang ginawa. She had all the opportunity and evidences in her hands but she chose not to tell anyone. Family is all that she have. Naniniwala din ako na magbabago na si Audric. He'll be good or he'll have nothing but his name."
