MIRANDA (complete ✔️)

SEPTEMBER. 2010.

Miranda is busy studying for the high school entry exams.
The class is quiet.
She feels satisfied by her perfect score in her self given test.
She stretches and finds Zayns eyes on her.

She smiles at him and he smiles back.
She had easined up on Zayn since the day he wrapped his sweater around her.

The bell rang and she got her cup of hot chocolate.
Everyone was outside for their break but she sat down to read her social studies.

Jasmine was out talking to Zayn as usual.
She sometimes feels like they are too close. She does feel disappointed at times but she feels happy for her.
Jasmines sister had passed away recently and she was worried about her.
She had missed half a term of school and was trying to catch up before the exams.

When the lunch bell rang.
She proceeded to take her meal.
Later she felt Jasmine's push past her.

" help he is going to hit me."

She said.

Zayn followed behind.

She felt a little bit of jealousy at how playful Jasmine could be around the opposite sex while she found it hard to even speak to them.

She ran after Zayn, when she got to him, she pinned him against the wall and said, "men who hit women are cowards."

Zayns eyes burned. He liked how strong Miranda was even when from a far she looked so fragile.

Jasmine stopped when she realized Zayn was no longer chasing her.

As if on a dare, Zayn patted Jasmine.
And in her playful manner, started wincing in pain.

Miranda got closer to Zayn, looking him in the eye and said, "coward."

She then walked ahead and Jasmine followed before she could totally disappear from his sight. She looked behind and smiled.

She knew then that things between her and Zayn would never be the same.

During the last day of school, it was customary for the school to prepare them a feast. Every one settled around the table,soda in hand. Zayn sat next to Miranda. Jasmine was on her left side.

"oh, what am I to do without you?"  Zayn says face full of dispear.
Miranda's face turns to be that of pure concern.
"I do not know, You would not be able to survive, and if that must be the case then we have no choice but to do as Romeo and Juliet."
Says Miranda.

Zayn and Miranda take their sodas.
"come on love, with this portion we shall die and live together as spirits."

They both take a huge gulp and lay their heads on the table imitating a dead person.

Jasmine applauds them.

When they awake again they start walking around pretending not to know anyone like spirits do.

Their play is interrupted by the meat being placed on the table.

They head back.

"you guys are adorable."
Says Jasmine.

Miranda smiles at Zayn.
They had been dating for two months now.

Though they both seemed happy, they found it hard to believe that this may be their last day together.

As parents come to pick up their children, everyone is in tears hugging each other.
Miranda hugs Jasmine, tears in her eyes.
" I really do hope we go to the same school."
She says.

"I will pray every night."
Replies Jasmine.

Zayn steps in, "it is not as if you cannot visit each other."
He says.

" it won't be the same."

Says Jasmine.

Her mom honks the car and with a last hug, she is gone.

Zayn pulls Miranda in for a hug.
She sobs a little then regains herself.

"come let me show you something."
He says to her and pulls her to an empty classroom.

" I know we will probably see each other often but I got you a little something."

He pulls out a golden bracelet from his pocket with their initials written on them.
Miranda gasps and stares at it in appreciation. Zayn puts it on her arm and she smiles giddy.

" this is beautiful. But I did not get you anything. "
She says.

" you did not have to."

Suddenly some one calls out for Zayn.
He immediately knows that his dad has arrived.

Miranda then gets closer, " I think I can give you a little something, and with no warning at all, she kisses him.

She looks down.
" I really am going to miss. "
She says.

Zayn hugs her and with the next call of his name he is gone.
