Chapter 13 - Ian's Advice

Did she just kiss me? Voluntarily? On the lips? And tell me that that kiss represents her feelings towards me?

I couldn't believe me eyes as Megan walked away from me, hips swaying back and forth; her long hair too.

My fingers reached for my lips, touching the area where we shared a real, meaningful kiss; where we were one with the world and nothing else mattered but us. When she kissed me, my whole world turned upside down. I could feel my heart beating a mile a minute, my stomach filling up with butterflies, my lips drawn to hers the longer we kissed. My hands wanted to get all over her gorgeous body but then she pulled away, but I knew at that point, that she liked me.

I found that everywhere I went, everywhere I looked, Megan was there. She wouldn't leave my mind but I kinda liked the feeling of seeing her everywhere. It meant that even when she wasn't with me, she was with me. It meant that I got to see her cute face everywhere I went.

I hadn't realized I was dreaming about Megan until I bumped into someone, dropping my bag and phone on the ground in the moment. Without looking up at who I bumped into, I immediately went down to pick up all my things and so did whoever I bumped into.

"Thanks man." I said

"No problem dude. We're buds now, it's the least I can do." A familiar voice said

I stopped in my tracks and looked up to see who I had bumped into, hoping it wasn't who I thought it was. Ian.

"Uh, hey dude. Sorry I bumped into you, guess I wasn't paying attention." I said as I awkwardly laughed

"Haha, it's alright man, no harm. But what were you even thinking about that had you so distracted?" He asked

Just when I was about to answer with some lie, his eyes widened and cut me off before I could even say anything.

"It's a girl isn't it!? Oh man! Who is she? Is she hot? Does she like you back?" He asked excitedly

"Well....I --"

"I knew it!! Sooo? Who is it? Is it Crystal?" He asked eagerly

Not knowing what to do, I just nodded my head in agreement. Technically I wasn't lying. I did like Crystal, she was hot, had an amazing personality and was a great kisser, but I felt a stronger attraction to Megan. She had everything Crystal had, and doubled.

"Haha! My man Tyler getting the ladies! Have you asked her out yet?"

"N-no...why? Should I have done it already?"

"Well yeah! I mean you like her right? Might as well! Plus I'm sure she likes you too. Why wouldn't she?"

I just chuckled awkwardly as I ducked my head down, rubbing the back of my neck. Ian was being so helpful and nice and trying to get me to ask out Crystal when he had no idea I liked his girl, and we had a fling going....if that's what you'd call it.

"I guess you're right..."

"I KNOW I'm right! Look,when I first met Megan, I never thought she'd go for a guy like me. She seemed like one of those preppy girls who only cared about looks and shopping and other girly stuff, but getting to know her, I found out she was the complete opposite. We became really close friends and I liked her for the longest time but never made a move 'cause I thought she only liked me as a friend ya know? So one day, we were out studying for a mid term and she accidentally spilled her milkshake on me. After freaking out for a bit, we both laughed and when my hazel eyes met with her dark brown eyes, we had a moment and I knew in that moment, she felt something for me; I knew she wanted me just as much as I wanted her, so I leaned forward, cupped her face with my hands, and planted a nice, slow kiss on her lips and when we parted, her smile told me I had done the right thing." Ian said

I honestly didn't want to talk about Megan with Ian, but hearing him talk about how he knew she liked him made me think about when Megan kissed me. My pale blue eyes met with her dark brown eyes and she leaned in, cupped my face with her hands and gave me a nice, slow kiss. How she kissed me was how Ian kissed her; the first time they kissed. She knew I wanted her since we met and when she kissed me, I knew she wanted the same thing.

"Wow...that's amazing dude." I said

"Yeah, but looking back, I realized she liked me the entire time I liked her and I had so many opportunities to make a move, but I didn't. I didn't because I didn't know that she wanted me to. That's why I'm telling you if you like Crystal, just ask her out! The worst that can happen is she says no and you don't get to date her." He said

I realized that Ian was right. I couldn't waste any time. If I wanted her to be my girlfriend, I had to ask her out now. I just hoped she felt the same way...
