Chapter 22 - Drifting Apart

Several weeks had gone by. Tyler and I just stopped seeing each other. After that date with Ian, I just couldn't face him if I was still seeing Tyler. I had already felt horrible at the time and knew it would only get worse, so I cut him off. He decided to cut me off too I guess because he had been spending all his time with Crystal and not once did he question my cutting him off. Me and Crystal had drifted apart too actually, which was weird because nothing had happened between us to make us drift apart. She was avoiding me and I didn't know why.

I walked into Starbucks to buy a coffee before heading to my psychology for non majors class. I had been on my phone the entire time, scrolling through tumblr. When I got to the cash register, I gulped as I found myself face to face with Tyler.

"M-Megan...what are you doing here?"

"Well, like everyone else, I live here because I go to school here and I just want some coffee before my next class." I said drily.

"Oh..right, my bad. What can I get for you?"

"Just a regular black coffee."

"Coming right up."

Once he finished making my coffee, he brought it to me and I gave him my card. Once I had paid, I was headed out the door.

"Hey! Megan wait!" He said, stopping me in my tracks.

"What?" I said as I turned around.

"I know you have class now but can we talk after class? There's something I want to talk to you about."

"Well, whatever you want to say, you can say it to me now."

"A-Actually, I can't. Just please, meet me in the lounge tonight? At 9?"

"Fine." I said as I started backing out towards the door. Once I was outside, I began to turn around but bumped inti someone in the middle of it, spilling my coffee on the ground.

"Watch where you're going bitch!" This familiar female voice yelled at me.

"Me?! You're the one who made me spill my coffee!" I blurted out

When I turned to see who it was, I couldn't believe my eyes. From the red hair, to the pale skin, to the pale blue eyes, and even the ruby red lips. Crystal.

"C-Crystal, I'm sorry."

"Save it." She said as she started walking past me.

"Crystal what did I ever do to you to make you cut me off? What did I do to piss you off this much? What happened?" I yelled.

"Tyler happened! I know everything so don't deny it."

"What are you talking about? I told you about Tyler!"

"Yeah you told me about that little fling when you and Ian were going through whatever, but you forgot to mention the part where you continued to fuck him after! After you said you weren't gonna continue! After I told you how I felt about him! After you said I could date him! You lied, you cheated, and I don't know what you're gonna do next, but I don't wanna be around for the hit."

"Crystal...."

"I don't care Megan! You ruined our friendship! Just stay the fuck away from me!" She said, backing away.

And that was that.

How did Crystal find out? It couldn't have been Tyler considering how mad she was about the whole thing; they were so happy, there was no way he would risk telling her. Or would he?

Either way, I just lost my best friend. The only person I had now, was Ian, and I'm afraid I'm gonna lose him too...
