Three imperfect littles

✩ CHAPTER SIX

Hoseok is frozen when Jimin's limp body fell in his arms but quickly collected himself and lifted Jimin bridal style.

"Seokjin! Yoongi .... help!"

Hoseok is looking on Jimin's calm face which is so pale that he can see the veins on his temples and under his eyes. Seokjin and Yoongi are sprinting to see what happened. Yoongi stopped in the living room and found that Jungkook and Taehyung are watching the movie and don't care that something bad is happening. Meanwhile Seokjin is at Hoseok's side and immediately runs to get one of their cars.

"Yoongi, take care of them and we are going in a hospital."

Yoongi only nodded and rubs Jungkook's back because the little one senses that everyone is distressed. Seokjin and Hoseok got in the car and Hoseok is holding unconscious Jimin in his arms. Seokjin is driving in a close hospital and also called Namjoon  to say what happened with Jimin and also that Jungkook and Taehyung are alone with Yoongi. Namjoon is a prime minister and he can't leave his office right after Seokjin's call but promised to try to get home as soon as possible.

Seokjin pulled over in front of the hospital and Hoseok runs inside with Jimin in his arms. He is panicking and then spotted a doctor. Hoseok is immediately running to him and shoved Jimin in his arms.

"My little collapsed out of nowhere. He is anorectic and refuses to eat."

The doctor is shocked because this doesn't happen every day. The man in front of him looks really desperate and the boy in his arms looks half dead so he quickly takes them in an emergency room. The boy's hands are icy cold and the doctor sticked few electrodes on his bony chest. He looks on a small monitor and frowned. The electrodes are measuring Jimin's heartbeat and it doesn't look good. The doctor put an oxygen mask over Jimin's mouth and nose and then send one nurse to get few blankets and then stabbed a needle in the boy's hand. A thin tube is connecting the IV bag and the needle so vitamins, sugar and other things which Jimin lacks are flowing in his body while Hoseok and Seokjin wait for him to wake up.

Jimin is cocooned in few fleece blankets and feels like he is floating. He slowly opened his eyes and sharp white light stabbed in his pupils. Some annoying beeping filled his ears and he has no idea what happened. He remembers that he was watching some movie with his little brothers and he wanted to use the toilets. Jimin's vision is blurry and he looks around the room. Where is he?

Luckily for him Hoseok is walking in the hospital room with a paper cup of coffee. Seokjin left few hours ago so Hoseok is watching Jimin alone. He went to get a cup of coffee because it is evening and he has eaten nothing since breakfast and he is exhausted. Hoseok sighed and closed the door behind him. He wants Jimin to be healthy again and he is determined to help him. Hoseok takes a sip of the coffee which is by the way quite disgusting and then collapsed in the chair next to Jimin's bed. He sighed again and fixed the blanket which is wrapped around feet of his little boy and then his eyes roamed to Jimin's face.

"Kitten ...!"

Hoseok gasped in surprise and quickly takes Jimin's face in his hands. He pushed a red button which should call some nurse and then waits for the doctor. The man came in few minutes and smiled on the small patient.

"So Jimin, how are you feeling?"

The boy is silent and only looked from the doctor back on his caregiver. He knows that Hoseok is in charge of deciding about him. As a little Jimin has almost no rights, he lost his free will after being marked as a little. So now it doesn't depend on him if he wants to stay here or not.

"I am worried that you need to stay here overnight and tomorrow we are going to start with your treatment."

Hoseok only nodded while Jimin squirmed in the blanket. He doesn't want to be swaddled so tightly but he can't wriggle out of it. Jimin is silent while Hoseok and the doctor speak in hushed tone. Jimin doesn't know what they mean by treatment. Maybe that they are going to tie him to a chair and force some hot broth in his mouth like they did it in the Little space shelter. He still remembers how much his teeth hurt from the iron spoon.

Hoseok finished speaking with the doctor and comes back next to the bed. Jimin closed his eyes and decided to pretend that he is asleep because he doesn't want to speak with him. Suddenly he feels some soft touch on his left side. Jimin keeps his eyes closed and waits for some time before slowly opening his left eye for a tiny bit. Next to his left side is sitting his stuffed mouse. Jimin closed his eye again and this time decided to really sleep.

In the morning Hoseok woke up with the worst backache which he has ever experienced. After all he was sleeping in a fucking chair. Hoseok stretched and then looked on his little one who is still asleep. A nurse brings him tray with some breakfast and Hoseok is silently eating white yoghurt with oatmeal and waits for the doctor who will come as soon as Jimin wakes up. After thirty more minutes Jimin wakes up and the doctor and few nurses came in the room. Jimin knows that they are going to make him eat, they will make him fat again and he also knows that he can't stop them. Few tears escaped his sad eyes and he looked on his caregiver who is bitting nail on his right thumb, then on the two nurses in white uniforms and then on the doctor who is trying to look calm and kind.

Hoseok doesn't want to do this to Jimin, he wanted to cure him with his kindness but all the things which the doctor said made him scared, no, they made him terrified. The doctor was speaking about Jimin's heart which is very weak. His body has no resources to keep working and his organs are close to giving up. This isn't something they can debate about.

The little one is yelling on top of his lungs while a nurse prepares a bag with formula. The doctor leaned above Jimin and smiled.

"There is nothing to cry about. Me and your daddy are going to help you."

Jimin continues crying so the doctor helped Hoseok with swaddling the little one again. Together they laid Jimin straight and Hoseok is almost crying when he needs to use his strength to hold Jimin down while the doctor put on a pair of latex gloves. He smiled on the scared daddy to give him some courage, after all he did this many times to help patients with severe eating disorder. The doctor grabbed a tube and put small amount of lube on the end which is going to be pushed inside Jimin's nose. The doctor inserted the tube into the nostril and gently pushes the tube down.

Jimin is coughing and Hoseok is stroking his hair and kisses his forehead while he is suffering through this procedure. Finally the tube is on its place and the doctor secured it with a piece of tape. A nurse connected the bag with formula to end of the tube in Jimin's nose and the boy feels how is his stomach getting filled.

"This is a nasogastric tube, you will feed him just like we did right now. "

Hoseok is speaking about something with the doctor while Jimin is weakly squirming and sobbing. The thing is very uncomfortable and moreover he already feels fat. Jimin's eyelashes are sticking together with tears and he is starting to doze off.

After a short while Hoseok is back and sees that his little one is asleep. He let himself to break down a bit and cries for few minutes while thinking what the hell is he going to do to save Jimin.
