Christian's POV

A Few Days Later

I had my arms out, allowing the correctional officer to check me, before I was cleared to continue forward; as I made my way towards the visiting area. I was visiting Elena, hoping that she would give me the answers that I needed, so I could find out what Jack was up to and let Detective Clark know so he could do his fucking job. I might be going to extreme measures, but I would go above and beyond to get my family back.

Stepping into a darkly dimmed room, I removed my jacket before sitting down, clearing my throat as I waited impatiently for them to bring Elena into the room. I was nervous about seeing her, only because I feared what I would do to her the minute we were alone. For starters, I wanted to choke the life out of her for pointing a gun at my wife and trying to kill her, but I was going to maintain my composure and try my best to reason with her. Hearing a loud buzzing sound, I looked up and saw Elena through the glass, as she slowly entered the room and stopped. Our eyes met and I was instantly filled with rage, as a small smile spread across her face. I took a deep breath, watching as she entered the room, sitting down across from me as she moved a few loose curls out of her face.

"Christian...what a pleasant surprise." She spoke. "I figured you'd be furious with me for trying to kill your wife, but I guess that's not the case so...to what do I owe this visit?"

"Let's get one thing straight...I am beyond furious with you for what you did, but I need to know what Jack has planned, Elena." I began, getting straight to the point.

"I don't know what Jack has planned."

"Elena please. I am begging you...I need to know what he has planned for me and my family, and I know you know."

"Hm...what's it worth to you?" She questioned, with a devilish smirk on her face. I took a deep breath, stopping myself from snapping on this woman, as I closed my eyes for a split second.

"What is it that you want?" I asked her. She intertwined her fingers together, leaning forward, as she stared me directly in the eyes.

"First off, I want you to get me out of here."

"What? That's impossible and you know it!"

"Actually...it's really quite simple. Get that pretty little wife of yours to drop the charges against me and once she does...you can post my bail and get me out of here." She said, knowing good and damn well that Destiny would have my head for even asking her to do something like that. "Once I'm out, you can treat me to a romantic dinner at the hotel of my choosing, and then we can end the night with you having your way with me. You know...like old times, and once we're finished...I'll tell you everything you need to know." I bawled up my fist, trying my best not to reach over this table and knock her fucking lights out.

"Absolutely not. Goodbye Elena. Have fun rotting away in here." I said, standing up. I grabbed my my jacket and turned to leave, but stopped dead in my tracks when Elena yelled something out.

"Alright fine, have it your way. You just better hope Jack doesn't get to your wife or those gorgeous children of yours, because it won't be pretty. For her or for them." I quickly turned back around and glared at her.

"Is that a threat?"

"Oh no, my dear, it's a fact. Jack has a lot of pent up anger, mostly towards your wife since she shot him, but I don't think he wants to hurt her." She laughed. "I can tell you what else he has planned, but...it's up to you whether you want to hear it or not." As much as I wanted to know what Jack had planned, I wasn't about to do what Elena was asking of me. I refused to put my marriage on the line for some information that may or may not be useless to me in the long run. It just wasn't happening.

Arriving home, I was in deep thought as I walked into my empty house, sighing heavily when I didn't hear the small stampede of footsteps that I usually heard whenever I came home. I missed my wife and kids dearly, but until the cops find Jack and throw his worthless ass back in jail...I'll be home alone for the time being.

"Welcome home, Mr. Grey." Mrs. Taylor greeted me, as she took my jacket from me. She seemed a lot happier than usual, which wasn't like her, seeing as how she was rather upset when Destiny and the kids left. "Dinner is ready and waiting for you in the dining room, sir." She walked away without giving me a chance to ask her why my dinner when in the dining room, when I normally just eat in my office. I huffed and headed into the dining room, stopping dead in my tracks, when I saw Destiny sitting at the table.

"Hey babe." She smiled, standing up from where she was sitting.

"Destiny...you're here." I spoke, rushing over towards her, as I embraced her in a long, tight hug.

"Yeah, I'm here. Surprise! And ahh, you're crushing Aria." I quickly pulled back and bent down, placing kissing on her stomach.

"Daddy is so sorry, angel, but...I missed you so much." I grabbed her face and kissed her long and hard, pressing my forehead against hers as I looked into her eyes. "Why didn't you tell me you were coming back home? And where are the twins?"

"I'm not exactly back, and the twins are still in California with Mia and my family, but I came home to surprise you and show you how sorry I am for acting like a straight bitch towards you this last week." She began, but I cut her off.

"Hey...what did I say about calling yourself that?" I scolded her. "I understand why you left and I'm glad you did leave. It gives me a sense of comfort knowing that you're safe, even though I miss my family."

"We miss you too, babe. The twins talk about you all day long and they hate that they have to talk to you via Facetime. They want to actually see you in person, so you can shower them with hugs and kisses."

"Well I guess I'm going to have to take some time off and come down to California, so I can see my little ones, but until then...I'm going to enjoy this time with my wife." I kissed her again, before we both sat down and enjoyed our dinner, but I couldn't stop thinking about the conversation I had with Elena earlier. What if she knew something important about Jack and his plans, and I'm missing out on getting the information because I know that it would cost me my marriage if I asked Destiny to drop the charges? Was I willing to take the risk? Absolutely not, but I am willing to negotiate terms.
