Christian's POV
"Mr. Grey? There's a Detective Clark here to see you. He says it's urgent." Andrea whispered to me, as my eyebrows furrowed a little.
"I'll be right there." I told her, standing up. "If you all will excuse me, Ros here will take over and answer any questions you may have." I buttoned up my suit jacket, exiting the conference room, greeting Detective Clark as we stood in the lobby.
"Ah, Mr. Grey. Good to see you again." Was he being fucking serious right now? If I never saw this man again, I wouldn't be upset, but clearly something was going on which is why he was here.
"Detective. Let's talk in my office." I turned and led the way down the hall, opening my office door and allowing him to walk in first, while I stepped in behind him and closed the door. "Would you like anything to drink? Tea? Water? Coffee?"
"No thank you, I don't want to take up too much of your time." He said, almost making me scoff out loud.
"So...what can I do for you?" I asked, taking a seat behind my desk.
"Mr. Grey...there's no easy way for me to tell you this, so I'm just going to come right out and say it. Jack Hyde escaped police custody last night." I glared at him, feeling an uncomfortable pounding in my chest, as I quickly grabbed my phone.
"How the hell did that happen?!" I shouted, alerting Taylor of what the detective had just told me.
"He was being transported to another facility, but the van never made it to its destination. The van was located on the side of the road this morning, with two unconscious officers, and no sign of Hyde anywhere." He explained, making me close my eyes and take a deep breath. "We've put an alert out on him, so there are officers combing the area looking for him, but we believe that he may be coming for you and your wife. Your wife especially." He stood up, pulling a diary looking book from his jacket, and handing it to me.
"What's this?"
"It's a notebook that Jack kept in his cell. It has a lot of...detailed information, which is why we believe he's coming for you and Mrs. Grey." If my heart beats any faster, it was going to explode in my chest, killing me instantly. I slowly opened the book, seeing Jack + Destiny = FOREVER in big, black, bold letters. Yeah, in your dreams pal. I thought to myself. I flipped through the book, stopping at am entry that was dated just a week ago:
I can still smell her mouth watering scent, Coco butter I believe, with a hint of a perfume that will forever make me go crazy. She's beautiful.
Her eyes, the way the sun hits them, showing off those perfectly hazel orbs...Mm...I'll never forget them.
Her lips...plump and juicy, just waiting to be kissed by a real man. The things I'd do to those lips...Mm... delicious.
