Destiny's POV

Two Days Later...

My entire body was in pain and I can't even remember the last forty eight hours, due to everything being a blur. The last thing I remember was giving birth to Aria, blacking out right after I held her in my arms.

Slowly opening my eyes, I noticed Christian sitting in a chair near the bed, putting all of his focus on his phone. He looked as if he was staring at something on his phone, as he took a deep breath, before he looked up from his phone and our eyes met.

"Hey you." I smiled

"Baby, you're finally awake!" He said, sounding relieved. He stood up from the chair and took a seat on the edge of the bed. "I didn't know when you'd wake up, but I wasn't going to leave your side." He grabbed both my hands and kissed them, before placing a soft kiss on my forehead.

"How long have I been out?" I asked, trying to sit up.

"Two days, and don't try to sit up. Just lay down and relax, while I grab the nurse." He got up but I grabbed his arm, pulling him back down.

"Wait...How's Aria? Is she okay?"

"Aria's perfect." He smiled. "She's three pounds, but she's breathing on her own and she's just beautiful." He handed me his phone, showing me a picture of our daughter. She was so small and helpless, but beautiful nonetheless.

"Oh my God." I whispered, as a single tear fell from my eye. "She's so little."

"Yes she is, but the doctors say that she's perfect healthy and that she'll have to stay in the NICU until she weighs at least six to seven pounds." My bottom lip trembled at the thought of my daughter having to stay in the hospital for months, before we could finally take her home. Sure, it's for her own good so that she can grow and develop properly, but I didn't feel comfortable with leaving her here. "Hey...it's going to be okay. I know you don't want to leave Aria here, but my mom assured me that she will be well taken care of by the best pediatricians this hospital has to offer."

"I don't think I could leave her here alone."

"She won't be alone, baby." He assured me. "She'll have someone with her at all times, monitoring her, and making sure nothing goes wrong."

"It won't be the same though. Maybe I'm just being emotional, but she's gonna need us here with her." I cried.

"And we will be. I've decided to take a much needed paternity leave, leaving Ros in charge in my absence, so that I can focus on you and the kids. Sure, I'll still be working, but only by laptop and cellphone."

"Of course, but that's better than nothing." I wiped my eyes, feeling a little bit better about the situation.

"I'm glad you think so, but there's something else we should discuss." He began, but was cut off when there was a knock at the door. A nurse walked in, obviously surprised to see that I was awake, as she approached me and introduced herself. She then checked my vitals, before calling for my doctor, who came in and gave me a full examination. Christian had reluctantly stepped out, which surprised me because he would usually stay by my side throughout this process, but maybe he stepped out to alert the family and let them know that I was okay.
