After enjoying the afternoon with my husband, Christian headed into the office to pick up some files so he could work from home for the next couple of days, giving me an hour or so to go into work and make sure everything was running smoothly. Though Christian wanted me to stay home and rest, I assured him that I wouldn't be out long, and Aria was making sure of that. She was kicking up a storm, not to mention the Braxton hicks that I've been having, which made it impossible for me to focus; let alone move around for a long period of time.
"Are you sure you don't want to go back home, Mrs. Grey?" Theo asked, as he opened up the car door for me. I just had Theo and Sawyer with me today, since Wes was taking time off to heal, even though he wanted to come along. I had to basically force him to stay home and rest, which caused a mini argument between us, but as always...I won and now he's sitting at home probably pouting.
"I'm sure." I said, nodding my head. "I won't be here long, so I'll be fine." I honestly loved how much Theo and Sawyer cared about me, especially after everything we've all been through. They were apart of my family now and I cared about them, just as much as I cared about Wes. Does it get overwhelming walking around with three men all day? Absolutely, because sometimes a girl just wants to talk about female problems, and I really can't do that with these guys. Wes maybe, because he'd actually listen, but my other two guys? Not likely.
Walking into my office, I sat down at my desk and started shuffling through the stacks of papers that were laid out on my desk. With the launching of this toddler clothing line coming up, I was so behind on a lot of things, but I planned on having everything finished before our release party.
"You guys can sit down and take a load off." I told them, standing up and walking out of my office.
"We go wherever you go, Mrs. Grey." Sawyer said, making me roll my eyes. Typical Sawyer response. I knocked on Audrey's office door, opening it up, as she and Elliot jumped up from the couch and I don't even have to tell you what they were doing.
"Oh my God, sorry!" I slammed the door closed, rushing back into my office, wishing I could unsee what I just saw.
"Were they just...?" Theo questioned, as I nodded my head.
"Yep, but we're going to just pretend that we didn't see anything." I huffed, rubbing my eyes. A few minutes later, Audrey and Elliot walked into my office, smiling and laughing as if I didn't just see these two having sex. "I'm glad to see you both are fully clothed now."
"Yeah...sorry about that, best friend. We got a little...carried away." Audrey smiled. Clearly these two were back on good terms, which I'm happy about, because a couple of weeks ago I honestly thought they were going to break up.
"Yeah sorry about that sis, we were caught up in the moment and it just happened." Elliot smirked.
"No need to apologize, I understand." Little did they know, Aria was conceived in Christian's office, so I understand being caught up in the moment. "But if you two would like to finish, I'll be more then happy to just finish planning this launch party alone."
"No, no...we're finished."
"For now anyways."
"Oh God." I murmured. "Well, I only have about an hour before Christian starts blowing me up, so...goodbye Elliot."
"Alright, alright I can take a hint, but before I go. We have something to tell you." He said, wrapping his arm around Audrey's waist.
"Oh my God, is Aria getting a playmate?"
"Girl no!" Audrey said, quickly. "But you and Christian are getting a new sister-in-law." She raised her hand up, showing me her diamond ring, which made me scream out in excitement.
"OH MY GOD, YOU'RE ENGAGED?!" I shrieked. "This is amazing, congrats you guys!" I pulled myself up and walked over to hug them both, feeling my emotional ass about to cry.
"Please don't cry, best friend."
"I'm sorry, it's the hormones. But seriously...I'm so happy for you guys." Shortly afterwards, Elliot left, leaving me and Audrey to plan out this launch party which didn't take any time to plan out. Seeing as how this particular party will be involving kids, it was like planning out a birthday party, but the after party was going to be for the adults. "So I was thinking at the end, Riley and the twins can walk out together, wearing matching outfits to wrap up the mini fashion show."
"Didn't I come up with that idea? I swear I said something similar to that?" She questioned, cutting her eyes at me.
"You probably did, but I don't know. My mind has been all over the place lately, so we'll just say that you came up with the idea." I said.
"How are you holding up? I know you've been dealing with a lot lately."
"I'm just taking it one day at a time. I've been a bit paranoid since coming back home, but I'm only staying a couple of days and then I'm heading back to my parents house."
"Good. I don't feel comfortable with you being here with that psycho on the loose. There's no telling where he is or what he has up his sleeve, but whatever it is...it can't be good." She said, shaking her head.
"Gee thanks for making me feel better." I grumbled sarcastically.
"Oops, sorry." Once we were finished with the planning, Audrey and I went out to lunch to celebrate her being engaged, and to also celebrate the start of our successful partnership. It felt good to hear some happy news for a change, giving me a reason to actually go out a celebrate, even though I should be focusing on getting back to my babies.
"So...how did Elliot propose?" I asked, taking a sip of my lemonade.
"It was so romantic. So, you know how I thought that he was cheating on me? Well I was really depressed and moping around, thinking that this was it for me and him, and then he randomly sends me a text message and asks me to meet him somewhere. I didn't think anything of it at the time, so I got all dolled up, dropped Riley off with Grace, and drove to the address he gave me. I pulled up to this newly built mini mansion, which threw me off because I didn't understand why he wanted me to meet him there, but then it all clicked. I was thinking that he bought me this house, so of course...I started getting excited. So getting out of the car, I admired the outside of the house for a minute, before heading inside to the surprise of my life! There were rose petals trailing from the front door, all the way into the living room area, where he had candles a little in home picnic set up for us. There were candles lit and rose petals surrounding the area, along with some soft music that he had playing from his phone, and in that very moment...I started crying. I've seen so many Rom Coms, so I knew exactly what was about to happen, and then...it did happen. He couldn't even finish his proposal speech, before I screamed out yes and pounced on him." She smiled, fanning her teary eyes. "I never believed that the perfect proposal existed, but Elliot has made me a believer."
"That is so romantic. Ugh, now you got me crying." We shared a laugh, wiping our tears, as we continued talking about proposals and weddings. It made me think about the random proposal Christian had made in his sleep, which makes me laugh every time I think about it, but he made up for it when he proposed again the the pool house. I never believed the perfect proposal existed either, but Christian made it perfect. We might fight all the time, but I won't ever regret becoming his wife. I love that man to death and when I said till' death do us part...I meant that.
