Liam's POV

I waited, waited and waited but there was no sign of Ivy, and seemingly Cath wasn't around, how coincidental.

"Olivia, would you know if Ivy had stopped by today?" I asked Olivia who had just finished attending to some customers,

"She was here earlier this morning, she left with Cath on a job hunt"

"Job hunt...okay, thanks" I said as I left the café.

"Kids these days..." She said as she went back to the kitchen.

Ivy's POV

"...Ivy, I'm tired, apparently, you're not" Cath said as she sat on a bench,

I plopped myself beside her.

"My goodness, this town's a bit big...thanks Cath for the tour"

"You're not welcome... Get me some ice cream" she said as I laughed

"Sure,"

"Ivy, I gotta start heading back, my mom won't let me rest if I don't go now, thanks for today, we'll search another day" she said as she stood up

"Wait up lemme get you your cone" I said as I followed her and bought her an ice cream.

So after she left, I decided to walk around a bit when I saw a sign in front of a clothing store with the words 'help needed', I rushed into the store and saw a  man looking through the racks of clothes.

"Hi, excuse me, I'm looking for the manager, could you be of help?" I asked in my most polite tone.

He smiled at me,"you're speaking to him" and then I blushed out of embarrassment, what are the odds that I got to meet him immediately.

"So how can I help you?" He asked on a more serious note

"Well, I saw a sign saying 'workers needed' and I'm interested" I said matter of factly

"Okay, so can you handle sales?" He asked clasping his hands together

"Sure"

"Okay, you'll start tomorrow, see you here 7am sharp" he said as he stood up from his seat.

"Does that mean I got the job?" I asked a little bit confused

"I think I already like you" he said while laughing

'I'll take that as a yes'

So I headed out of the shop,and went home, I had to get enough rest since I'd be starting work tomorrow.

Cath's POV

As soon as I entered the café, I was ambushed by a furious Liam.

"Why the heck were you not picking any of my calls?" He asked inquisitively, I scrunched my eyebrows

"Calls?" I said as I took out my phone and saw I had about 34 missed calls

"Sorry, my phone was silent..." I tried to explain

"How's Ivy?" He asked cutting short my explanation

Oh so this was about Ivy?

"She's great, we had a tour today"

"I wanted to apologize to her about yesterday" he said bowing his head

"You can do that tomorrow" I said as I walked over to my mom who was spotted around the back.

"Okay" he said as he sat down "could you give me her contact?" He pleaded

"Nope, you'll see her tomorrow" I said as I went about doing my work

"Cath, did Ivy get a job?" My mom inquired

"No mom but we'll look around tomorrow" I said as I heard Liam ask "she's looking for a job?"

"Apparently, she wants to make some extra cash" I said wiping the table tops

"I see," he said as if he was getting lost in thoughts

My phone started ringing almost immediately,'I've been calling ,you don't answer phone na na, when I call you, you don't answer phone na na...' I checked the caller ID and saw it was Ivy.

"Hey girl" she said sounding quite excited

"Hey...don't tell me you got lost" I said pleading over the phone

"Nope, I got better news , I got a job" she squealed

"Really...at where?" I asked happy for her

"At some clothing store, I'm resuming first thing tomorrow morning"

"That's great, I'm happy for you"

"Thanks... Wouldn't have gotten it without you"

"I'm kinda busy... We'll talk later" I said as I saw two customers walk in

"OK bye"

"Bye" I said as she hung up.

"Mom, Ivy got a job" I said to my mom,"wow, that's great , I'm happy for her " she said as Liam approached me, "where's she working?" He asked politely

"I didn't get a name but..."

"Could you take me there tomorrow" he pleaded, I couldn't say no, so I just nodded and he gave me a bear hug before saying bye to my mom.

'Oh how I wish he liked me,' I thought to myself as I heaved a sigh

Short chapter, I know but its still something.
Yeah, Cath has a crush on Liam, I mean come on who wouldn't.
