"Thank you so much for letting us stay" says Sonia.
"No. Thank you" says Jessica. "We heard your speech last night. I have half mind to keep you guys off and on longer if you want. Young love is something to cherish. I wish I did."
Sonia claps her hands in delight.
"The only way, however, that I can allow you guys to stay more is that you both work for us.
"What do you want us to do?" asks Sonia.
Jessica smiles.
...
"I don't see why we couldn't have gone with Sonia and Jessica" says David.
"Jessica was very specific to me about the requirements. She is to train Sonia, I you. You must not share the secrets that are passed from both of us to the two of you. That way, should one of you be taken by the Communists to be tortured, the other won't give away any valuable information.
David points, speechless.
Off in the distance of the desert, a long spaceship sits. We both watch as a woman walks in - who, once she removes her helmet, distinctly looks like Jade.
We hear a roar. Running across the field, we sneak into the spaceship.
"This isn't part of the training, is it?" asks David.
I shake my head.
The interior of the spaceship looks the remnants of an abandoned ballroom. Chandeliers hang form the ceiling that threaten to fall. A gray line follows along the walls that suddenly lights up into a crystalline blue.
"Oh no. This cannot be good" I say, pulling David and I behind a pillar.
"Replaying last events" speaks the computer monitor.
Suddenly, the ballroom is alive with ghosts. They are all immaculately dressed. Some women are dancing to the young men sitting bored in the balcony, hoping that one of the suitors' eyes will be caught to ask them to dance.
Others are diplomats, and, dare I say it, royals. They converse back and forth while their guards stare at each other as if ready to kill the other.
The ship begins to hover off the ground. I can sense the weightlessness in the floor i the grinding, ever-increasing hum of take off.
"Oh shit."
The partygoers wander to the window to get a view of the planet that they are leaving behind.
"Sonia will wonder where I am" says David.
"Who are you guys and what are you doing here?"
We turn to see JadeLu standing over the balcony, staring back at us.
"Jade, don't you know me?"
"No" she snaps, before laughing hysterically. "Am I supposed to know you?"
She points her gun at us.
"Watch it. Take it easy" says David, lowering himself to the ground.
"Take it easy kid?" asks the woman, twirling the gun around in her fingers. "They will kill me if I don't find what they want. I'm looking for the Space Queen. The guardian of space in all it's forms. You do not understand. She's what will come to control all the people in this room. She fought the bad ones."
"The what?"
"The monsters. Ones that were used to take over every kingdom in multiple galaxies by a very evil man."
With that, the spaceship was clawed back nearer to the ground.
The woman falls to the floor, squeezing her eyes shut.
"That girl you travel with, she controls the monsters. She will kill my family, because I abandoned Mao and Stalin's mission" says the woman, entering a state of panic.
"David!" I yell "Go fiddle around with the controllers."
"That's the worst idea ever!" yells David, heading over to the control center.
We are flying higher and higher in the air, heading back toward the city when we see two figures crossing the field. It's Jessica and Sonia. Jessica points a gun at Sonia's back as they walk up towards the mountains. Sonia draws a line with her finger, casting a circle of light that opens up a portal. She looks back at our ship sadly, before entering the portal. Jessica turns to us, smirking, before whipping out the Soviet Unions flag and waving it for good measure. She sticks her middle finger at us, and then disappears into the portal.
"Oh my god!" explains the woman.
There are zombies running across the field to the city.
"What do we do?" I ask.
"We go to my workplace. Area 51."
