Part 3 Luck

-Ray-

Pacing back and forth, I was a little ticked, since Tatsuo was supposed to be back within two days and it was the third, I knew commander would say "Ray! Why isn't Tatsuo back yet? She's a valuable asset to us." and I again wouldn't be able to answer, Tatsuo came and went as she pleased, it was slightly annoying, but I still let her since I had already lost Anaya and Becca a long time ago, I have joined the military to get back what we lost. As I was just going to look for Tatsuo she came in with a red head, she looked familiar but before I could ask "Is that you An-" Tatsuo interrupted me and said loudly "I'm home Ray" and hugged me, I tried to shrug her off and ask "Who's this?" she looked at me sadly with her purple eyes gleaming as she said "This here, is freedom" she looked at me and I knew it was her, there was no mistaking it "Anaya." was all that came from my mouth as I hugger her.

After a while we sat down, all of us. I looked across at Anaya, she had changed so much, she looked weaker now, skinnier and hurt. "So, Tatsu, where did you pick this one up" I heard the captain say then I wasn't listening after she gave her answer, I couldn't help but study An, I had looked so hard for her and now here she was, she didn't seem to have any emotion left in her eyes that used to be filled with joy. I had to walk away, I couldn't look at her, she looked different and more ready to kill. As I walked to my room I heard Tatuso call my name so I turned, she looked ready to ask something but stopped when I didn't say anything, all she did was come close and grip my shoulder "I know it's hard seeing her again, But I found her after the 4 years you've been looking for her, and I know she probably changed but they have done horrible things to her and it took all I had not to kill them when I saw the shape she was in, but she seems reliable enough to fight with us." I was shocked, Tatsu could be nice? I had walked to my room after listening to that, sat on my bed and looked out the window at the stars, I wondered what it was like to be outside the walls, I knew Anaya used to want to be out there with the wild but no one knew what was out there other then the Elders and people who saw that day, but those people were killed anyway, no one ever talked about it, not even I did

~Anaya's POV~

I watched him walk away, I was still in shock he hugged me, did I know him? How did he know me? Was he the boys hand that I held back then, why couldn't I remember? I was going to ask Tatsuo who he was but she was staring at him as he walked away, so I held my tongue. The captain excused Tatsuo to leave us be and she didn't take more than a minute to say "thank you sir" and leave, the captain sat beside me, he looked so young, was he older than I was or my age? All he said was "You're Anaya, I've heard a lot about you from Ray, he's been searching for years. I am the captain of this base, we're soon leaving to venture outside to the broken wall and see what happened five years ago, I understand you were there so you don't have to come, there will be killing and there will be danger." I nodded and said "I want to train so I can stand by Ray." I said it without realizing it, where had it come from, I admit he was good looking and strong, but how did I know him? The captain smiled and said "In that case I will have him personally train you." I was stunned a bit at that but I didn't reject the thought. I would be strong and I might regain my memory of this boy.
