Breach

Part 4 Able

It had been a week since I started training with her, she wasn't getting any better or sharper, she only kept taking punches, I never wanted to hurt her, so I told her to dodge and throw punches, she did as I said. "Anaya, I know you probably aren't used to fighting back, but you said you wanted to learn, so learn" I hated being strict with her but you have to do what you have to do. She looked at me then her hands and asked "Can I, hit you?" I held back and laugh and turned to the side with my arm out some "Sure, hit me as hard as you'd like." I should have realized she couldn't hit hard, she slowly punched my arm like she was scared I'd hit back for it, so I grabbed her hand and pulled her closer, but she did something that amazed me then she moved faster away from my grip and back some. I smiled, interested at what was next. She looked at herself and smiled "I did it!" I nodded and said "Now do it more often. And try to always see the enemies next move, because here, lots of fights will happen and they don't go easily on new people."

After the training she was doing better, a little now she could dodge and block also move, but she wasn't great at punching, but who knows, maybe she'll get there some day, I went to the captain and asked him to remove her from the mission but he said no and that she was also taking private lessons to fight. I was amused at that now, she was serious about fighting but not skilled. I walked away from the captains room happy for some reason. I was proud Anaya was doing well and doing things on her own, but I still found myself walking to her room, knocking at her door and asking her if I could come in, I heard the slightest "Come on in" from her so I did, she was laying on her bed, arms behind her head like she used to in that field "You don't remember much do you?" she looked at me and shook her head no, I felt bad, but I didn't mind it, that would be expected with what she had probably gone through.

After I had explained what all happened she didn't seem to care, even when I told her about her sister. Something in me hated that, I had watched everything happen. But it was alright because I didn't want to push her too far since she hadn't been back long, she looked up, her blue and amber colored eyes questioning what I was thinking. What was I doing? I leaned down to kiss her, but she closed to gap between us with her lips pressed against mine, I could feel the fear, but calmness rushing over both of us, we fell back onto the bed but neither of us dared to break the kiss. Her hand traveled down my back and my kisses went down her neck and she breathed out. Suddenly there was a knock at the door, making me jump back and her sit up, both of us panting still. Tatsuo walked in and looked at us back and forth as she asked "What did I miss?" Anaya was quick to respond with "We were arguing about training." I stood straighter as she looked at me as if to beg to play along so I did, I said in my bad mood voice "three times a day then." she slightly looked shocked and Tatsuo smiled grimly "You're punishing her." I nodded and walked out, still shocked at what happened.
