Breach

Part 10 Crisis

-The General-

I instantly noticed her form was starting to waver "Are you alright?" she hadn't answered, she was going to fall, my first instinct was always to protect my soldiers so I went to her and put my arm out under her when she fell, I could feel the blood from her back on my arm and sighed. "Why do they always act alright." I picked her up and carried her through the halls, passing Tatsuo who instantly said "General, what happened to her?!" I ignored her and kept walking to the infirmary. I was still impressed at what she accomplished when I could have easily killed her with that kick. She was definitely cut out to be one of my soldiers, her form was nice when she landed it and her landing was straight out amazing. She reminded me of Ray when I trained him but now he was annoying and sarcastic, also stubborn and hated rules. When I got to the infirmary I saw that that Captain Willis was in there. "Willis." he nodded and looked at her. "What did she do now?" He didn't show it but his eyes gave away that he was concerned as I laid her down. I explained and he looked slightly impressed, I know I had been shocked to see her initial response to a kick in the ribs, I hadn't known her injury was still healing and that she hadn't taken a leave of absence. She was a rookie after all.

-Ray-

I had run into Tatsuo going to see how Anaya was doing in training but she told me that General Henry was carrying her to the infirmary. I was worried but I knew I couldn't do anything about it. I loved Anaya and I know that she loved me but I couldn't admit that. I was going to a doctor who had called me to his office about something he found out the night he was taking care of her. I hadn't known what it was about but I didn't care anyway. The hallways were usually so cramped up but after the war we only had 200 soldiers out of one thousand. I made a right to his office and knocked, instantly he answered and looked shocked, beckoning me into his office to sit. So I did. He looked at me with a look that shook me "Anaya, is pregnant. Or maybe was. I felt her pulse and it was beating abnormally." I had no idea what to say, An? Being pregnant? I looked at him and asked "Is she still?" he told me "I have no idea right now, but I will check on her soon." I was worried and shell shocked. An was pregnant and I let her get hurt.

Sitting in Anaya's room made me relaxed, I was the only one who knew she was pregnant. I didn't know what to do, was it mine? Had she done something with someone else? I wasn't sure how I would know or IF I would know. I just knew I had to see her. So I went to her and the General wasn't in there. Just the captain, he nodded when I came in then looked at her "She's been out all day" I sat with her and took her hand "An.." she just whispered "Ray" and I smiled, The captain looked at me and said "A doctor came by to check her vitals, they found that she isn't the only one living inside her." I looked at him and he smiled "That was a lie, but your expression tells me the truth." I looked down at her stomach "How long have you known Cap?" He looked over at her "since that night" I gulped as she squeezed my hand "will you send her away?" He shook his head "Henry thinks she's am even better asset to the team then Tatsuo is." That made me smile, because I knew it was true. She was better than anyone. The general came back with some cups and water, handing one to me, to captain and pouring himself some, I hated that he sat so close to Anaya, but it was alright, she was mine after all.
