"So, this is my room." Roman stood nervously in the middle of a light red room. Against the back wall was a small bed. It had perfectly made sheets that were adorned with crowns. Next to it was a small stand with a princess lamp on it. On the wall next to the bed there was a closet. Posters hung on the walls -mostly Disney, but there were some Shakira and Beyoncé ones as well- and fairy lights were strung around randomly.
"Like your little lamp there." I laughed "Maybe I should start calling you princess instead of princy."
"Please don't, hot topic." Roman laughed as well, taking a seat on his bed. "This was my childhood room. I was the only one who didn't have to share a room and trust me, I thought that was a big deal. Now I see it's just as crappy as the others rooms."
"Hey at least you got a room to decorate." I mumbled
"You didn't?"
"I was a foster kid and a bad one at that. The longest I stayed with a family was two weeks. I either ran away from the bad parents or acted out too much for the good ones."
"Oh... didn't you tell us that you lived with your uncle?" Roman was confused, and rightfully so. I sighed, I forgot I told that lie.
"Yeah, I guess I just wanted to fit in. If you could not mention that to Patton and Logan, that'd be great."
"Oh of course."
There was an awkward silence as the two looked for something to say.
"Uhh So... what's it like being the oldest brother?" Virgil asked changing the subject
"Oh well, fun at times... mostly just annoying though. I mean it's easier now that I don't live there, but Remus is still an asshole. Dominic is ok he can be pretty bad sometimes though. The twins are sweet... Unless they're hungry."
"I'm not nice if I'm hungry either." The two giggled "speaking of which, what's for dinner?
"Mom's making spaghetti and meatballs I think. Wanna go help?" Roman asked excitedly.
"I don't know how to cook..." I was hesitant to agree.
"I'll teach you!" And with that I was being pulled out the door.
