"So... did you have fun last night?" Thomas had noticed me, a smirk on his face "It sure sounded like it."

"Shut up!" I felt my cheeks darken as the three boys laughed. "Guys! I need help, stop laughing!"

"How do you require our help Virgil?" Logan asked, suppressing a small chuckle.

"What do I say to him?" my anxiety was increasing "How do I act?"

"Just act normal." Patton shrugged taking a sip from his juice box

"That's easy for you to say!" I pulled on my hair, beginning to pace. "You don't have crippling anxiety!"

"Dude, just chill out. I'm sure it won't be that bad. People hook up all the time." Thomas tried reassuring me, gently patting my back. As I was about to retort, the sound of an opening door silenced me.

"Virgil?" I turned around, there was Roman. He was dressed in his jeans and shirt from yesterday.

"Hi." I murmured looking down. I heard Thomas giggle in the background.

"Could we maybe talk?" He looked at the other three boys "Alone?"

"Let's grab something to eat." I began putting on my shoes and Roman followed suit.

"Don't stay out too late Virge, it's a school night!" Patton called after us as we left. I cringed a little at the statement, sometimes he really did act like a dad.

The two of us walked down the stairs, I didn't dare break the silence. Finally as we neared the bottom Roman spoke.

"So where do you want to eat?" he asked looking around.

"Is Panera ok?" I thought of my abandoned soup from last night and my stomach ached, god I was hungry.

"Yeah, that's cool." we began to walk, once more we were suffocating in silence. It was uncomfortable. We both knew what question needed to be asked but neither of us wanted to be the one to ask it. So we stayed quiet. I glanced at the boy next to me. His jaw was set and his eyebrows furrowed. He was thinking about something, but what, I had no clue.

We made it to the restaurant, only talking to order. I began to pull my wallet out, but Roman stopped me. I raised my eyebrow but he simply told me to find a table. So with nothing else to do I did.

I tapped my foot impatiently against the ground as I waited for Roman with our food. I was anxious, I'm sure anyone could tell. I pulled my jacket tighter as a breeze came with an open door. I had gotten us a booth at the back. No one would be able to hear our conversation without being obvious, so I thought it was for the best.

I looked up as I heard the clatter of a tray. It was Roman. He gave me a small smile before sliding in the seat across from me. He handed me my soup and bread from the tray, and grabbed his bagel, before pushing the tray out of our way. We both took a few bites before I set my spoon down. He looked at me before setting down his bagel.

"So..." he started "I guess we should talk about last night."
