19. Meeting Mrs. Malhotra

  "Manik are you alright?" I asked in the same position where Manik held his knife on my throat. "Yes, I am fine, but I need something from you." I was confused, if he wanted something he could ask it directly and moreover I still did not forget the topic about Anna. He inched closer at the point where his breath fanned my lips. Now I am definitely sure Manik needs medical consultancy. I think he became horny after watching Aliya and Druv making out when we suddenly barged to Druv's cabin. "Wh...what d....do you wa...want?" I asked finding my voice which felt like eternity. 

  He inched closer and his lips was really really close. "I want your lips." his husky voice was enough for me to make my legs wobbly. I wanted to say something but it was too late. His lips was on mine and I lost my complete sense. His lips was chewing my lower lip like a candy and I stood there like a doll who don't know anything. Slowly his tongue darted my mouth creating havoc inside me. My body was on fire and I was shaking like a leaf when a wind blows. 

  Not to embarrass myself further, I moved my lips which I don't even know how did I do? I just should have googled how to kiss? then there would not be any complication. Whenever I used to type 'how' in google. The first thing it showed me was 'how to kiss?' option but I ignored and used to do my search. Now I really regret not doing it. After which felt like eternity he left me only for me to stagger.  Thanks to Manik he caught me on time. I saw the door of the office which was wide open and most of the people stood outside the office. That was the last thing which I saw before I fainted in the arms of Manik. 

  Opening my eyes the first thing I saw was a white ceiling which looked like the office ceiling. Manik held my hand in his and smiled when he saw me opening my eyes. "Thank god you are ok I was s scared that you fainted because I ....." he looked at his right and gulped nervously. I saw a lady of Mrs. Saxena's age who was glaring at Manik. "Mr. Malhotra your girlfriend is perfectly fine, but I believe she is not sleeping well and her food habits are also not good. May I know what did you eat yesterday night Miss. Murthy?" he asked and I lowered my head. I usually don't eat at night. I would just have an apple in my old house, but now I am in Aliya's house so it is really difficult for me to ask. "Miss. Murthy I suggest you to take your food correctly and sleep well." he gave some prescription to Manik. "If this happens again give this medicine. Even if it continues then bring her to the hospital." The doctor, I assumed said and went away. 

  "Nandini, meet my mother Neyonika. Malhotra. Mom, meet Nandini." Manik said and I tried getting up, but Manik pushed me back signalling me to not to get up. Mrs. Malhotra smiled at me and sat in the place where doctor was checking me previously. "Sorry we could not come to your sister's party and we even didn't attend his failed wedding." Mrs. Malhotra said glaring at Manik who again lowered his head. "My husband and me were in London finalising a deal with one of the company. This guy who claims to marry you, didn't even find it important to tell about the decision he make." the last sentence was like a warning.

  "It's ok Mrs. Malhotra. Even he had some troubles and I believe he don't wanted to make you tense with all this. If I would be in his place, then I would do the same thing." I said and shock was clearly written on her face. What did I say? "When are you bringing Nandini home? I can't wait to have her to know her more." Mrs. Malhotra was really happy. At the same time she got a call and she bid her farewell saying that her husband is waiting outside the building.

  When she was out Manik opened his mouth. "When you asked me about your Anna, I saw mom coming in this way. I thought of pranking her by threatening your life and to watch what she would do?" he said and I smacked his head for such foolishness. "You know I thought the world finally came to end and it started with your loosing your senses. Hell!, I even thought someone took a plastic surgery like you and was trying to kill me." I almost yelled. "how in the world will you think like that?" he asked unsure with a scowl on his face. "Yesterday I saw a serial on television where similar thing happened to male lead and the bad people were trying to kill the female lead." I said as I saw.

  He shook his head. "Why did you kiss me suddenly?" I asked and he looked to his left and right. "Nandini, Soha was here with mom and entire first floor which contained the HR department was outside my office so I made it like threatening you to kiss me." he said and I heaved a sigh. God I thought he would kill me and I almost thought I made a wrong decision. "Now how are you related my Anna?" I asked, but he made his blank expression. "Nandini as much as I want to say it you I can't. I have promised someone that I will keep you safe. If you want to know anything regarding your Anna go to Abhi he is the best person who can tell you everything."

 Abhi will tell me everything. It was complete bullshit. If we are sitting in a room without killing each other then it would be a biggest thing. I can ask Chikkamma (maasi), but I highly doubt she will spill the things. The remaining person is Chikkappa, aka my Chikki's  husband, aka my existence hater. Yes, he hates me with passion, but I know what can make him spill the things. "By the way you need training in kissing." Manik said moving to his desk and I threw a cushion towards him who just smirked at my me. That pig, I will not leave him.

Navya: Just shut up! I know this man is completely lying. Manik is a gentleman who does not make her assistant work on Sundays!

Kabir: Gentleman my foot. He was checking out your ass when you were in party.

Navya: Idiot!, he was not checking out my ass, but was seeing the bug which sat there and told Nandini to do something about it. So I told you he is a gentleman.

Kabir: *In his thought* Lucky bug.
