33. Missing

   My door bell rang when I was in deep sleep. I saw the time and my eyes bulged out. I was asleep even after seven in morning. After my stay from Saxena, I have become more lazy. I opened my eyes and still the door bell was ringing.

   I think Aliya is really tired, else she would be opening the door. I took the bowl to get the milk from the milk man. I opened the door and he poured the milk and handed me a bunch of Arabian jasmines. 

   I was about to open my mouth to ask him about this flowers, but I remembered I hadn't brushed and my morning breath would faint even the biggest of biggest ugly, stinks. So I asked with the sign language he told me that his mother had grown some Arabian jasmines and it had the highest of flowers today, so he gave some to some his customers.

   I nodded and put the bunch of flowers which were in the cotton bag on sofa. I brushed and did my routine. I heard a cell ringing. It was coming from the flower bag. I emptied it and saw a handset in it. It was still ringing, I thought it was owned my the milkman. I accepted the call to inform about the situation when I heard Manik's voice.

    "Manik, why are you calling milkman's number?" I asked I was still checking the number whether it was of Manik or not. "Good morning to you too. I have called you to inform you that Aliya is not with you." I checked Aliya's room which was empty and I believed Manik.

   "Did you kidnap her?" I was not surprised if he did. I had boiled the milk and was adding instant coffee to it. I took a cup and poured my coffee into it. I was drinking the coffee. "No, I didn't kidnap her. She was going to Paris without telling anyone. Druv found it fishy and did some 2+2 and he got the answer as 4, then he took her to somewhere applying leave in his company as well as our secret company." 

    "Do you know where did he take her?" I asked sipping my coffee so that if Harshad asked me I could lie that she went to that place with her friends. "No, he told it was extremely confidential, but yes he told that Aliya is pregnant." I spat the coffee which I had sipped. 

    "Pregnant as in where a woman's stomach grows till 9 months and a watermelon sized baby will come out of the stomach?" I asked to make sure he was talking about that pregnant. "Yes" his answer was short and I wanted to strangle all of them.

    First thing Aliya was not married. Her name was still rumoured as runaway bride. What if media got to know about it? "Manik don't joke with me." I almost yelled from the tension. 

   "I swear on my grandfather's grave, Aliya is really pregnant. She was running away from all of you and us. Druv got to know and took her with him to some place. He told when everything is settled down, he will come along with Aliya. He can't risk his love and his child's life." Manik's words made me want to claw Druv as well as thank him for taking care of Aliya.

   "So did you find any proofs?" I asked and I wanted the a single amount of positivity in that answer else I will be the one to claw Manik.

   "Absolutely none." instant fury pumped in my vein. This scumbag is just passing his time I think so. "You useless fellow. You are saying this from 2 weeks what are you made of? Now I am helping you and I want me and Shikha to out of it as soon as possible." I said and I heard a long silence.

   "Manik, are you even listening?" I asked to which he hmmed. "So we will discuss this at which place?" I asked and I wanted to say some place where Khuranas cannot reach. "We can discuss this tomorrow at ......I will message you the address." he said and hung up.

   I looked at the cell confused and then put it down with a shrug. I had a lot of cleaning to do .

   It was during afternoon when I got a call from Gunjan. "Hey Gunjan how are you? I hope Shikha is not troubling you." I said and was stirring the curry for the rice. I heard Gunjan sobbing which made me worry. "Nandini, Shikha is missing." My brain stopped working hearing it.

   "I had left her to her school but the guard is saying that she is missing since lunch. I even asked her teacher even they have filed a complaint but police are not ready to take the complaint as the missing case is registered after 24 hours." her words felt like a gut being hit by a car.

   "I will come to her school. Call Harshad." I said and switched off the gas taking my two wheeler keys. By the time I reached office Harshad was in his bull mode. He was shouting on everyone questioning on their institution. As it was a play home the owner was pleading him to relax.

   The more shocking thing was Mr. Saxena was consoling a crying and tensed Mrs. Saxena. Gunjan was nowhere to be found. Suddenly Gunjan came "A man saw Shikha going inside an ambulance. There was an accident nearby. "Gunjan's words made everyone to run to that man.

   "Sir, I have seen that girl. Just 3 hours prior an accident took place and she literally ordered me to call the ambulance. She was addressing that man a Gpa. I asked so she told that it was her future grand pa. They have taken the man to the near by city hospital."

   We all rushed to city hospital and I was met by a very annoyed receptionist where Shikha was sitting on the desk asking useless question. "What the hell happened Shikha? Why are you here?" I was about to continue but Shikha told another shocking news.

  "NI, Manik uncle's father is in OT."

Harshad: When are you making Shikha to stay with Nandini? She is like a bone in my romance.
