42. Hoodie

   "Are you seriously wearing a hoodie for your wedding?" I asked Aliya who wanted to shop for her wedding but guess what she was choosing a godforsaken hoodie as her wedding attire. 

    "This is only solution I have Nandini. Now tell me this hoodie or this hoodie." showing the green hoodie which had adidas on left and similar to green there was red coloured hoodie.

    "Aliya, please tell me you are joking. Everyone will laugh at you if you wear anyone of this." I was horrified by her decision. "If I wear a lehenga then my baby will cold so I will not wear lehenga and now tell this one or this one?" I wanted to shake Aliya and make her understand.

    "Aliya, instead of hoodie why don't you choose jewellery then we will choose this?" I thought of distracting her and I was successful. I took my cell and almost pressed call button for Manik but then I went back and called Druv.

    "Yes, Nandini is Aliya craving for street pan?" yes, every night Aliya wakes me up and asks for street pan so I have made my job easy by telling it to Druv. "Druv, Aliya has decided to wear hoodie ass her wedding attire." I said and I can't believe what I heard.

   "Ok Aliya looks cute in every cloth." I wanted to jump from the cliff and never come back this idiot couple where a woman is pregnant and makes weird demands with her fiancé satisfying her demands.

   "For the fucks sake stop saying yes to every demand of Aliya. There will be lot of people even if we are keeping the wedding only for relatives what do you think they will say 'Aliya looks cute in every cloth'? Hell no they will know instantly that something is wrong with her." I huffed all the anger I was feeling.

    "NI I want Shinchan  writing set which is on children's section." she was jumping in front me. I showed my palm gesturing I am on call. "Druv, I will handle Aliya for next 15 minutes and after that you will handle her." I hung up on him. 

    "You want your Shinchan writing set?" I asked Shikha smiling who nodded eagerly with her two pig tails shaking with her adorable smile. "Then you will entertain Aliya till Druv comes." I said and without wasting a second Shikha sprinted towards Aliya who was waiting for elevator.

   I was in food court as Aliya was saying that she was hungry and Shikha she wanted ice-cream. Mostly I needed a coffee for my current headaches I am seeing in front of me. Aliya was behaving really weird these days. Even now, instead of using fork she was using tooth pics to eat noodles as suggested by Shikha.

   I saw Druv close the eyes of Aliya with his palms and I took a breath of relief. I wanted to go to the furniture section and sleep for a while. My wish was short lived as whole fab 5 reached here and hell even Aliya seemed uncomfortable.

   I was about to escape but I was caught by Navya who was facing me with her hands folded. "Hi" she said and I just smiled, tried to pass her but she stopped me. "I need to go to wash room." I said and tried once again.

   "Stop it Nandini, the only reason I never contacted you till now for you to clear your mind not clear me from your life. We need to talk." I sighed as much I as I wanted to avoid her, it was true I missed her.

   "Ok" I said and waited for her to continue. "I am sorry. I know you will hate me after this but anyway I will tell the truth. My father before dying left us with huge debt. The debt collector was none other than Kabir's father." she sipped the juice which she opened from her bag.

   "My family didn't have a single rupee so Kabir's father offered to give me a job which was bit risky. I was given basic self defence and then sent to spy a mafia boss as his PA. I almost died there and to get of my further debt I was sent to protect you."  she again sipped her juice.

   "I thought it was easy but you made me feel like a family and then Kabir asked me to tell the things you are doing. I thought it to be one of security reasons but when he said his real plan I refused but he blackmailed me that he will stop the health facilities for my mother." she threw the juice pack inside the bin.

   "I had to do as he told. Believe me when I say I was feeling guilty for each second but it was good you were staying away from me, secret factory. Now I am free. All my debts are cleared and my history will be cleared from first Database. I have resigned and going to stay with mom. Sorry again, I still feel guilty so I am leaving never showing you my face again." she said and went away.

   Even though I saw tears and I caught only one thing. She was never going to show her face. Hell with my ego I am not allowing her to go that's what I thought. I cleared my throat and then I saw her eyes were glistening. 

   "Ok fine. I forgive you. Please don't go. I missed you." I said and hugged her. Even after hug she was still crying. "Now what? I forgave you, everything is fine." I was annoyed for this long she never cried.

   "Last night Kabir proposed me. I rejected." she was sobbing. "If you are feeling so bad I will talk to him and arrange your marriage." she looked like she was about hit me with the first thing she comes across. 

   "No, you are not going any where near that gang again. Even Druv is planning to resign, after Aliya and Druv's wedding everything will be normal." She said as if she was convincing herself. "Well everything will be normal but I don't think you can stay away from me." Kabir's words rang in our ears. 

   We both turned to the back where he stood. Oh shit.
