15.After Effects Of Party

 "I welcome my beloved daughter and my future son-in-law to the stage."  We all clapped hearing Mr. Saxena who was giving a big smile. I didn't know if he was really happy or was faking it. Aliya and Druv exchanged the rings and all guests started congratulating them. "May I have your attention please?!" Mr. Saxena asked and everyone hushed to one another. "I announce my another princess's engagement with none other than Manik. Malhotra.!"

  Everyone were clapping, but they gossiped with one another and I knew exactly why. "You all must be wondering, I am only arranging the wedding for girls in my family, but I have got another news. I have arranged Harshad, my son's marriage with my best friend's daughter Kiara. Talwar!" Shocked was written on everyone's face except Mr. Saxena who announced. I noticed Harshad who was shocked, but just smiled seeing camera. The new couple joined us on the stage I noticed the woman who my father chose to marry my half brother. 

  She is the one who was involved in some drugs which was a major controversy last week. I have seen her with many actors, models and sportsmen from past 5 years. I looked at Harshad who was faking his smile perfectly. I don't know what came over me, but I held his hand for support. He was shocked at my hand, but when I tightened my hold he gave me a smile and looked ahead. I looked at Aliya who was ready to burst with her anger at any minute. "Let's meet the press and answer all the queries they have to ask." declared Mr. Saxena.

  Many questions were asked regarding me and it was perfectly answered by Mr. Saxena that I was hidden from outer world. About the Aliya's eloping he made a story as I was loving Manik and he thought Aliya was in love with Manik, but when Aliya eloped he gathered all the data and got to know about my love, so he quickly wanted to rectified his mistake. He has really an active imagination. Entire time Shikha stayed with Mukti who was really happy having Shikha. They both pranked some of the guys who troubled Mukti. 

  When we were heading to the car. We saw Soha fuming there, as soon as she saw me she came with a force and started cursing me. Shikha looked at her with curiosity. I was tired from this party and I was not at all ready to deal with the shit in front of me who was cursing. So I pushed her aside and went inside the car along with Shikha. Fab 5 stood gaping at the side where I pushed Soha. I looked at what happened, but burst out laughing. There fell Soha inside the drainage repeating curses on me and on drainage. 

  Everyone got into car and Aliya had tears while laughing at Soha. As usual Manik, Shikha and me went in one car. Shikha fell asleep just after the car started. "Don't take that Soha seriously." Manik said referring to Soha's curses. "I am not worried about that Manik, I am worried about Harshad. Why is Mr. Saxena wants to marry that shameless girl?" I asked myself but Manik had heard it. 

  "Mr. Saxena and Mr. Talwar were friends for long time. They are thinking to launch a new media channel. I think that is the reason." Manik said and took a sharp turn to right. "I feel something is wrong Manik. Manik can you help me in breaking this alliance?" I asked suddenly, only to jerk forward and as Manik applied breaks. I quickly checked Shikha who slept peacefully at the back seat.

 "Are you nuts? First of all everyone is hating me and Druv for Aliya's eloping and you want a new controversy?" Manik asked and rubbed his face. "Aliya got her love and it is unfair if Harshad do not get his. So I want you to get all the girls Harshad dated, had crush or any other girls. No matter if he had the crush on the girl before she was born or toothless or is married or he dated a woman who is being married or having a child I want everyone's details." I declared and huffed. 

 "Fine" Manik said and started the car and this will be my first step against Mr. Saxena. Manik stopped the car near Beach. I was totally confused, but he locked the door leaving Shikha alone in  he car when I protested, he showed me his mobile which showed Shikha's sleeping figure. "Don't worry I have kept a video cam in live we can get to know if she got up." Manik said and dragged me towards beach.

 "Why did you bring me here?" I asked. I was wearing a gown and the chilly breeze did not help me. "I know, I almost forced you into this, but Nandini, I don't want to snatch your happiness. I know I am not a perfect guy to date because of my working schedules with my company and the weapon's company. At least tell me your wishes, so that I can make it complete if possible." He was genuine. I felt as if I was in the place of Attige and Manik in the place of Anna. Even he said the some similar kind, but they were happy. 

 Nandini, your first priority is Shikha so think about her. My sub-conscious was right. I should think about her. "Manik my wishes doesn't matter, but I always wished one thing. I wanted a father figure for Shikha. She never had the time to know her father or mother. I was the only one and is only one for now. I always wanted her to know the love of father which I didn't have. Can you be a father for Shikha?" I asked unsure. I know it is really difficult to accept other's kid, but she is the only one I am living in this world. She is my world. I don't see anyone when it comes to her.

 Manik was trying to say something, but he never said but just hugged me. "You know, if there exists a person like you, then Shikha can never feel that she has no parents." he said while hugging me. I felt proud. Proud of being a mother of the child I didn't carry in my womb, but still carrying her in my heart. "Let's go, tomorrow you need to be there in my office before nine in the morning." he said and went away leaving me.

  " Manik, I can't. I have to sleep at least nine hours and currently now it is midnight." I argued he turned and gave me a soft smile. Thank god he understood my dilemma. "Slight correction. I want you in my office by nine today." what the hell?! I noticed the time which showed 12:15. He is not serious. "Don't worry about Shikha, I will take her to school." in this way he gave me my unanswered question of being Shikha's father figure.
