"There now, don't you make the most beautiful bride?" asked Ingrid as she helped Y/N put on her veil. Y/N looked in the dressing room mirror and sighed. Her long h/c hair had been curled and cascaded beautifully down just past her shoulders, the dress Ingrid made for her was simply perfect, Y/N almost felt pretty until she saw her skin, which was a shade of blue so pale that it came very close to being white. Y/N whished it was white but that very slight blue tint would never leave. She took comfort looking back at her e/c eyes, they were much nicer than the devilish red that other frost giants had.

"Pretty for a frost giant I suppose." She thought. "Ingrid I am going to miss you so much! How can I ever thank you for your friendship?" Y/N said turning to her friend. "You could try being happy." Ingrid said. "I know this isn't how you pictured your wedding day, but it's not as bad as your father could've made it." "You're right. I am happy to be leaving him behind."

A knock on the door interrupted them and an Asgardian palace guard was shown into the room. He bowed to Y/N and said, "Y/N I am here sent by Odin to escort you to Asgard for your wedding ceremony." Y/N hugged Ingrid tightly, said one final goodbye to her dear friend, and left with the Asgardian. When the guard brought her to the center of the courtyard he stopped abruptly and said "My lady a thousand apologies I did not take you to say goodbye to your father, do wish to go back?" "No. I have no desire to see him and I know he will not miss me. I wish to leave now please." "As you wish my lady. Heimdall, open the Bifrost."

Suddenly they were taken up in a flash of bright and beautiful colors and found ourselves in a large golden dome like room with a large man standing in the middle with a large sword. Y/N was a bit uncomfortable at the sudden increase in temperature, it was not an unbearable heat but it was well above what she was used to. The man greeted them with a smile. "Welcome, you must be Y/N." "I am sir." "Well you are as lovely as Odin described. I cannot help but wonder though, why have you accepted this offer?" "People say Loki is a monster. Those people have not met my father. The god of mischief may very well be what people say he is but I would rather have that than live with my father another day." Heimdall gave her a look of sympathy and sent her on her way.

A beautiful carriage was waiting just outside of the Bifrost. The guard helped Y/N to get into it and they headed towards the palace. "Nervous ma'am?" the guard asked after a few moments of silence. "Strangely, no sir. I suppose I ought to be nervous, marrying a stranger, one that's tried to kill my race at that. It is very odd but I really don't feel anything one way or another."

Y/N had become quite used to feeling nothing when she ought to be feeling quite strongly, she often pushed her feelings deep down into herself, even though she knew it wasn't healthy. Suddenly she had a flashback to a couple of moments when her father was beating her for "being too expressive".

"There's the palace miss. Bet you're feeling something now." Said the guard with a chuckle. Y/N looked out of the carriage window to see the huge, grand palace getting closer. It was absolutely beautiful, and she was going to be living there. "Excited, sir." She replied.

When the carriage pulled up to the palace an Asgardian woman in very nice armor helped Y/N out, welcomed her to Asgard, and introduced herself as Lady Sif. Sif led Y/N through the palace to a dressing room. "You'll be waiting here until the wedding starts." Sif turned to leave but stopped when Y/N asked "Do you know him? My groom to be?" Sif sighed. "Yes. I've known both of the sons of Odin for a very long time." "Is... Is he really as bad as they say?" Y/N realized that if Loki was as cruel as they say he is then perhaps it would not be the escape from her father she had hoped it would be. "He wasn't always. Something in him broke when he found out he was... adopted. I think some remnants of who he used to be could still be deep down inside him but he'd never let it show." With that Sif left Y/n alone in the dressing room to think.

Y/n sat and wondered what the god of mischief was really like. Was he the monster everyone said he was or was there more to him than that? She was not left much time to wonder because very soon there was a knock on the door and Sif lead Thor, the god of thunder into the room. "Lady Y/n it is most wonderful to meet you!" "The pleasure is all mine." Y/n smiled, Thor was exactly as everyone described him, friendly, loud, he was handsome but not Y/n's type, she was excited to soon call him brother. "Thor is going to walk you down the aisle if you're okay with it." Said Sif. "It will be an honor for me to walk such a lovely woman down the aisle but I do not see how her father would give up such a privilege!" "My father and I have a... less than loving relationship." Thor gave Y/n an understanding look and offered her his arm. She took it and he led her through the halls of the palace until they reached a large set of golden doors.

"Are you ready Y/n?" asked Thor. Y/n took a deep breath, "As I'll ever be." She replied. Thor nodded to the two guards standing by the doors and the guards pushed them open. A bridal march played and Thor started walking Y/n down the aisle. She looked at the faces of the guests in the throne room, most seemed surprised and she heard one person say under their breath "She's pretty for a frost giant." And another muttered, "The monsters deserve each other." Y/n felt a pain in her chest when she heard those words but she kept her composure and pushed down her anger.

She looked straight forward to the end of the aisle where Odin stood ready to perform the ceremony, and there was Loki, her groom. His face had no readable emotion on it but y/n tried to read him anyways. He was incredibly handsome; and she felt a little flutter in her heart when her e/c eyes met his green eyes.

When she came to the end of the aisle Thor kissed her cheek and took his place next to his brother. Y/n and Loki both faced Odin who started the ceremony. "We are gathered here today to celebrate the return of peace between Jotunheim and Asgard, and the union of Loki Odinson and Y/n Caldersdaughter in matrimony." He gave a long speech about peace and marriage until he got to the vows for which he had the couple to face each other. Odin handed them each a ring and a piece of paper to read the vows Odin prepared for them. "Loki, would you read your vows first?" Loki reluctantly unfolded his paper and looked Y/n directly in the eyes as he read, "I Loki, god of mischief, and youngest son of Odin, on this day take you to be my wife, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part." With those last words he slipped a beautiful golden ring that had Y/n's birthstone in the center. "And will the bride read her vows?" Y/n didn't realize until she unfolded the paper that her hands had been shaking slightly. She did her best to keep eye contact with her groom as she read.

"I Y/n, princess of Jotunheim, only daughter of Calder, take you to be my husband. For better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health,' she paused very slightly before finishing, 'till death do us part." Those last words repeated in her head as she put the ring on her husband's finger. Odin handed a goblet of wine to Loki who took a sip and then handed it to Y/n and she took a sip. Odin took the goblet and turned the couple to the crowd. "By my power as All-father I pronounce you husband and wife." The crowd cheered as Loki led his new wife out of the throne room.
