"We should have Mother look you over." Loki said as they entered the palace.

"Loki it's only a few bruises, I assure you I am perfectly fine." Y/n responded.

As Loki argued that she should go just to be safe they were approached by a palace guard. "Your presence is requested by Odin." He said.

"Do you think he knows?" Y/n whispered to Loki and dropped the illusion that she'd been wearing as they entered the throne room.

"What in the nine realms were you thinking?" Odin shouted when they entered.

"Yes, I think he might." Loki whispered.

"Loki, you were expressly forbidden from ever  returning to Midgard! Give me one good reason why I should not throw you in the dungeon!" Odin yelled. Y/n had never seen him this mad.

"Because it was my fault Allfather.' Y/n spoke before Loki could say anything that would get him locked up. 'Loki and I had a lover's quarrel and, in my distress, I fled to Midgard in search of Thor's council. I let my emotions cloud my judgement and refused to let anyone but Heimdall know where I had gone, and I even clouded myself from Heimdall's vision once I reached Midgard. Loki did figure out where I'd run off to however and, out of concern for my safety, went to Midgard in search of me. So, you see Allfather, if anyone should be thrown into the dungeon it ought to be me not my husband." Y/n knew Odin had a soft spot for her so she looked at him with the most sorrowful eyes she could give him.

Odin looked at her a moment, noticing her bruises. "What is this?" He asked, gesturing to the marks. He did not want to believe that Loki would lay a hand on Y/n but he had to be sure.

"The short version is that Loki was correct in following me to Midgard, as I found myself in a bit of a conundrum.' Y/n answered.

Odin sighed half in relief. "Y/n since you are a very much a daughter to me, I will make you an offer. If you both swear to keep your quarrels and arguments on Asgard then I will overlook this little incident of yours and we can all pretend it never happened."

"You are too gracious Allfather, we accept your kind offer and swear to keep our quarrels and arguments on Asgard. Right Loki?" Y/n said with a smile.

"Yes, of course. Thank you, father." Loki said.

"Then you are both dismissed. Although, Y/n I think you ought to go to Frigga and have her look you over." Odin said which made Loki smirk slightly as he looked at Y/n with an expression that said 'I told you so'.

They bowed and once out of the throne room Y/n agreed to go to Frigga if only to make Loki shut up. They found Frigga in the library; it was clear to Y/n who taught Loki his love of books. "Mother, would you mind looking over Y/n please. She ran into some trouble on Midgard and I'm worried for her health." Loki said.

Frigga set down her book and stood to examine Y/n. "Of course, Y/n come here.' Frigga examined each mark on Y/n. 'Well so far I only see some bruises and those should be healed by morning. This looks like something pierced your skin, what happened?" Frigga said when she got to the mark on Y/n's arm where they had drawn her blood.

"The Midgardians who attacked me drew blood; it is nothing, I'm sure." Y/n answered.

Frigga did not look convinced. "I think I'd better look at you in the soul forge."

They went to the healing wing and Frigga used the soul forge to make sure that Y/n attackers only took blood and did not inject anything dangerous. "Well, I have good news.' Frigga said. 'Y/n you are in perfect health."
